Yeh I feel that way to. This demand to see Mayweather fight at 154 is actually people just begging to see him lose.

    He can't make 147lbs.

Sergio Martinez said he would go down to 150lbs to face Maywather. Doesn't make it right.

Exactly. Just say that Canelo is too big and you're only going to be fighting welters or guys moving up. Don't try and get a guy to kill himself. Just looks stupid.

No fighter in the history of boxing would ever say that. Don't expect Mayweather to play by a different set of rules because you don't like him.

Mayweather is a 147 fighter who is slow & sluggish at 154.... Canelo is as much of a 154 fighter as Chavez Jnr is a 160 fighter...

If Canelo agrees to come in to the ring on fight night at 154, I can see the fight happening.... Anything else and it's pointless

Okay, still stand by what I said. He must have said it to Pacquiao then. But whatever, a fighter will say stuff to get a big fight/payday. Fighters moving down to a weight they haven't seen in years is never going to end well.

How about if Mayweather say we fight at 154lbs but its a same day weigh in?

Would Floyd be a ***** then?

You're one of those Mayweather fans? I get it  If you actually look through my posts you will see me catching quite a bit of flak for defending Floyd. Don't roll with that "you're a hater" bull****.

Victor Ortiz re-hydrated to 165lbs against Floyd. Nobody cared then. How much did Cotto weigh against Floyd? They never stepped on the scales so we will never know but I bet he was pushing 170.

Jonsey, stop it. People are rightfully shitting on Mayweather for trying to get him to 147. Remember, he is the guy who:

    • Had no problems fighting Cotto and Oscar at 154.
    • Has held belts twice at 154.
    • Was recently (or might still be?) the Ring Magazine champ at 154.
    • Was recently (or might still be?) the super WBA champ at 154.
    • Claims he likes to fight people at weights where they're comfortable at, and has spent the best part of three years criticizing Pacquiao for making people come down in weight.
You can't go doing all of the above, only to then say "b-b-b-b but I'm just a welterweight" when a live threat happens to pop up there. If he insists on fighting Canelo at 147, then it just exposes his previous success at 154 as nothing but smokes and mirrors - cherry-picking opponents there only when they're old and past their prime.
