Light-middle/middleweight had some ridiculous punchers around that time : Jackson, Mugabi, Hearns .. then came Benn, McClellan.

More nonsense about Tyson. Tyson's one shot KOs if anything increased as he got older, because he could no longer throw his blistering combinations. Golota, Botha, Savarese, Etienne were all knocked down by one punch, stopped in the case of the last three, forced to quit in the case of the first (along with horrendous injuries). Who did old Foreman KO with one shot aside from Moorer?

It's called following the leader. Very few boxing fans ever truly question what they're told.

ACTUALLY SHAVERS DID PUT THE ASS OF A PEAK LARRY HOLMES in the floor with a single shot, tyson never did it even against a shot holmes, tyson did hit him once and again and again, shavers did put the ass of tillis in the floor with a single shot too. simply these guys were hard to stop

Yes he did. Have you even watched the fight?

And Holmes was far from shot when they fought.

Tyson put Tillis on the floor with a single shot as well.

:lol:Ah, OK. The feeler jab that hit Holmes' glove before the right hand probably added a great deal to the effect. Obviously the right itself would've done little damage. It was the jab that didn't land that really hurt him.:patsch

    Two things.

A little tapping jab is not considered a power punch. Therefore whether it landed before the right hand or not is irrelevant.

Second, a shot fighter does not continue to fight at a world class level for another decade, take a prime Evander the distance, beat a prime Ray Mercer, and give a prime Oliver McCall hell.
