ODLH and Floyd has been my favorite fighters since day 1. Canelo has come along and earned the spot that Oscar vacated. I have no true favorite in this potential matchup.

I've always defended Floyd and saw the logic and reasoning behind his fight and I've agreed with him on the MP fiasco.

With that said....if he ever fought Canelo at 147 I would look at him in a completely different light.

He's been on tv countless times ripping MPs fight against drained fighters.

For my fellow Floyd fans to act like this is ok because Floyd says so is pathetic. Have some pride and believe in what you believe no matter what. If you believe draining an opponent is wrong then it's just wrong. If you have ever touted and glorified $ as the 154 champ after the ODLH and Cotto fights then you should demand he fight Canelo.

In conclusion I will not neccesarily rip Floyd for not fighting Canelo in September. If they want to build the hype it's fine by me. But if Floyd goes these next 5 fight and doesn't fight young red AT 154 I will be disappointed in the fighter I've grown up watching and cheering.

2013 or 2014 is fine by me. 147 is not. C'mon PBF.

At this stage it does not matter which group was here first the group that spoke against it is now justifying it... regardless of what the *******s did to you that isnt the point they were okay with Mannys catch weights hell I even agreed that once a fighter signs the contract all excuses are out the window.

But you all insisted on bashing Pacquiao for those type of fights and bragged about How Floyd would never do that he would take on all comers at their best weight etc....

Ummm, your all singing a new song today..... stick behind what you stood against for **** sakes be a god damn man about this ****.

Hey idiot, in this case Alvarez is the challenger.

It is upon Alvarez to fight the best at HIS best. Alvarez has fought at 147 and is still young enough to cut to 147. Especially with a May 5th 2014 target date. So now Alvarez will step up or not?

Typical ignorance from the typical ignoramuses.

    You are full of crap.

Draining 147 pound fighters to BELOW 147 to have fights AT 147 is COMPLETELY different than being a 147 pound fighter and fighting at 147. To pretend like it is the same thing shows how full of BS you are.

Mayweather wanted the crown. He went up to 154, a weight he couldn't make, and took it. Alvarez wants the crown. He is young and has fought at 147 before. Will he step up? We will see.

Floyd fought at 140 before why dont he go down to 140 then to face Alexander, Khan, and Garcia then I mean if we are going to go this route lets be consistent....

if Floyd wants to face those guys have him move down to do so...

If it came right down to it, Floyd could **** a nun on national television and they would find a way to justify it...in their heads.

You know damn well it will drain Alvarez to cut that weight it isnt water weight its muscle mass ala Roy Jones and Chad Dawson and Oscar...

anybody who justifies this demand is a ****ing moron Floyd holds a title at 154 says he wants to defend that title well then what the **** are you asking a jr middle to come down to welter weight to fight you for if you plan on defending that belt anyways?

Because he is the A side you idiot. When you challenge someone YOU make concessions.

Is that so hard for your simple ass to understand?

Yes you are consistent. Consistently stupid.

Using this logic there's no reason why Floyd can't make featherweight :rofl
