...at 147, where Hatton didnt look great, but had won a world title. Hatton moved up 7 lbs to fight Floyd for the title, but people here say that Floyd DRAGGED him up there, despite Hatton having won a 147 lb belt.

However Canelo gets no criticism whatsoever for calling out the welterweight champ, who has only fought twice at 154 and did not look his best in doing so (but won 2 world titles over 5 years).

So, whats the difference between Floyd having Hatton move up, and Canelo wanting FLoyd to move up?:think

So it's fine for Mayweather to fight anyone else at 154 for a belt ?

Whitaker never got credit for beating an undefeated Chavez Sr, either. They didn't even give him the win! :| :|

People did say Mayweather dragged him up to 147. Only problem is that Mayweather actually just fought there a year ago and Canelo is his mandatory. so its not just Canelo wanting to fight the best fighter of this era but he actually wants to fight his madatory also. Mayweather can be a unified champ if he moved back to 154 and take that fight.

If it was Canelo asking Alaxander or Khan that thats a punk move. they both have never fought at 154 and really have only fought 2 times at WW (Khan has never fought) but trying to fight your mandatory and the best fighter of this era is a not a punk move so u cant play that game bro

First of all, there has been no confirmation that Floyd demanded Canelo to come down.

Hatton had fought at 147 less than a year prior to fighting Floyd there. But, again, this was considered as Floyd DRAGGING him up.

What about Roy Jones and his HW title? He won it by beating Ruiz. Shouldn't Roy have been pushed into fighting Lennox or Vitali back in '03 or 04?

Yeah, so let's make Mayweather/Canelo a 3 round fight with headgear.
