Look up Benard's drawing power. That doesn't make it right or fair but we all know what makes the world go round.

  3. Because B hop fights are boring and he is not much of a draw even though he has huge name recognition, nobody really cares when he fights, a Hopkins pay per view would make about a thousand dollars. You see after his last fight he was begging for a home to fight? Big draws that can get pay per view don't have to beg for a home. De la Hoya or Mayweather wouldn't have to beg for someone to air fights because a network would be begging him, Hopkins is one of the most boring elite fighters ever to exist which does not make people want to reach into their pockets, even his free televised fights are low rated

I love watching Bernard fight, a true master of the craft he is. The man can do it all still even pushing 50.

Damned. You would think with the Showtime/GBP connection he would do better than that. I guess he forgot that he isn't giving Haymon a cut.

  7. Even with the name and GBP, still nobody cares. Either you put asses in the seats or you don't. Good that's what he gets. Leading up to the Calzage fight he said no white man could ever beat him, haha, and he got his ass whipped. Who is going to pay for his fights? Mexicans? Hell no, you have to be Mexican and wear a sombrero. Whites? Not when you call a race out and say nobody from that race could beat you. And Blacks? Good luck getting blacks by themselves to support your career. And on top of that your boring as ****, well your ****ed then

Chill out man, the guy is 48 and performs at a world class level. He deserves better than ESPN. I get his fights are not too fun to watch, but it's interesting seeing a grandpa disarm these young dudes. On ability he's still a top 2 guy in his weight class.

Its a very standard defence and Hop is hardly still the big money draw he was.

I'm not a fan of Hopkins in particular, mainly because of his style, but every boxing fan on the planet should be applauding the decision to put this on ESPN, rather than PPV or Showtime. This is nothing but good news for us. Hopefully this is a sign of things to come. It would be a boon to the sport.

Exactly, this makes no sense at all..how do you put a legend like Hopkins on ****ing ppv?

  15. Haha. Chill out? On telling the truth, nah. Nobody cares, I'm sure Hopkins is glad you do, but you try to get another guy to care and there might be like 60 to 70 that care.
