Mayweather wants Canelo at 147lbs

Surely there should be a rehydration clause? I know everybody loves an excuse to bash Mayweather and make out Canelo is the second coming, but Floyd and his team have every fight to be concerned about a 20+ pound difference on fight night

 

He's ****ing holding a 154 title though man! If he doesn't plan on fighting there then hurry up and vacate and let others fight for the belt. If floyd ever fights at 154 again vs someone not named canelo, then he is a ducking coward. Plain and simple.

 

Why should Floyd have the fight at 154 and give Canelo a massive advantage?

Obviously 147 would be a huge advantage to Floyd so that's out as well.

Hopefully common ground will be found or we'll have to endure Floyd/Alexander.

So you're basically admitting canelo is a big threat to floyd and so canelo needs to give up a few pounds to make it an even match up even though floyd has fought at the weight before? That sir is ridiculous.

 

Why wouldn't you want the fight to be even?

What's the point of anyone in the fight having an advantage if its only going to lead to their win being discredited?

It seems obvious that Canelo will come in higher than Cotto Or DLH did so the fact that he has fought at the weight before isn't the point.

They have every right but when floyd refused point blank to make the correct weight vs marquez then pulls this BS, i don't think mayweather wants any part of canelo.

 

Its irrelivent what he claims. Fighters talk. Plus he is the No.1 P4P fighter, but that doesn't mean he should automatically move up a division to fight someone.

 

No but it shows he is not comfortable at that weight. He flirted with 154lbs for the DeLaHoya fight and then gave it another go for Cotto. It was to heavy so he now remains at a WW.

 

What is this about moving up? He's a 2x and current SWW champ

 

If Mayweather had rejected the fight, I'd have no issue with that. Canelo is the bigger man and I'd understand Floyd not wanting to move up to take the fight. My only issue is with Mayweather trying to bring Canelo down to 147. That's a bull**** move.

 

If fights another Light Middleweight fight in the next year then I would agree. Not that he is a coward though. If Mayweather is a coward what the **** does that make you?

 

Ok I went overboard with coward but he would def be a ducking ****. People call him a coward as he don't take no risks. Fighting canelo at 154 is a risk hence his bull**** weight drain attempt of canelo.

 

if canelo weighs 154 at the weigh in then he can put on how many pounds he wants to because the rules allow him to do so. Oh wait its floyd, there is no way we will allow him to go into a fight without all the advantages so we want to change the rulebook now :rofl ****ing ridiculous.

 

Either Mayweather moves up and takes the challenge on or he cowers away hiding at 147.

There is no logical reason for Canelo to move down to 147.
