When you're #1, you're not thinkin' about who's behind you! Floyd's career is not defined by one fight. Been saying it a while now and I'll repeat it again: 154 or bust for me. I don't care if the catchweight was 153 pounds, not interested. I hate catchweight fights.

The only instance where I 'might' be able to forgive a catchweight is if they met at like 152 and it was for 'no title' and just for the 'fans.' I could 'maybe' live with that, even if I wouldn't prefer it. No catchweights for titles, ever.

I really want the fight at 154 or not at all. If it's not at all, I don't consider it a duck either. Giving up 20 pounds in the ring (13.6% of his overall weight) isn't a requirement for me, sorry.

 

He's only fought at 154 twice... and for Cotto he came in at 149 or 150.

So if Floyd fights Canelo at 154, comes into the fight at 150 baring in mind that is apparently close to what he walks around at.. and Canelo comes in at 170 - 175, the latter is close to two stone difference.

At the end of the day, Floyd is the "money machine" as he likes to call it and to some extent it's true. The fact is, he's the one who's done the big PPV numbers and is the house hold name, Canelo isn't.

Also (I may be wrong here..), but wasn't Floyd stripped of his title at 154 shortly before he stepped in the ring with Guerrero?



And for the people moaning about Floyd bringing Canelo down in weight, what about when Canelo has fought people coming up in weight? Matthew Hatton and Josesito Lopez at 154.. really?

 

If he doesnt fight Canelo at 154 when its said and done, that 0 he likes to brag about will solely be remembered for the number of how many risk he took
