Oscar was not bigger than Vargas by any means at all I have no idea where that is coming from.

i don't think that Floyd is doubting himself i think it is more of Floyd wanting to fight canelo who has a 30 percent chance of winning to Floyd trying to compromise canelo into a ten percent chance of winning by draining him.

Floyd beating the limited canelo would be my biggest bet ever.

two entirely different levels of fighters.

since you don't know much about boxing the whole premise of vargas/dlh was if vargas was going to be too big for Oscar.

once it was established that this was not the case after the first four rounds the result was soon forthcoming.

lot of clueless people on the esb fourms.

please, tell everyone here how canelo was bigger than trout on fight night.

So what does Canelo want Floyd to do then? Canelo shows up to fight 170. That is close to 20lbs advantage over floyd plus he is 14 years younger and in prime. Are those not huge advantages?

Canelo's game at 147 was to be much bigger than his opponents and he is using the same strat at 154. Floyd admitted that he is not carrying the weight well. Canelo have a lot more to gain to lose so they should AT LEAST make it fair.

I think a catchweight of 151 or a rehydration clause of 160 should be implemented. Regardless if the fight takes place at 147 or 154, a rehydration clause is the best route in this scenerio. A fighter can lose 15lbs of water weight rather easily. That way Canelo doesn't abuse his advantage in size and will be on netrual ground.

    no catchweight no rehydration clause.

Floyd versus canelo for the sww title.

if canelo can make 154 and can pass the tests it doesn't make a difference what his weight is come fight night.

and if Floyd truly is as great as he proclaims he fights canelo.

    ffs, its canelo.

Norris, winky, srl, hitman, dlh, tito...theyre all just laughing at this ****.

any of the afreometioned guys would be heavy favorites(-400+) against canelo

some of them(srl,norris,hitman,tito)...they ruin canelo in one fight.

****, Gabriel rosoda would beat that ass.

They will all ruin canelo? You do realize that all of the fighters you've mentioned are all a lot bigger than Floyd right? So why would they laugh? If anything they would respect Floyd.

I have never seen a proboxer who bashes Floyd in one form or another. Hell most of them think he is either the best ever or hell of a fighter.

So quit ur bs about that he needs to prove who or what he is. He has been there and done that. The young cats should start feeding themselves instead being spoonfed of out of prime greats.

four of them would ruin canleo. winky would school him. my problem with Floyd is him spouting his mouth off proclaiming hes the best ever and now has confirmed what little doubt people had of him ducking pac into 100 percent confrirmation if he doesn't fight canelo at 154.

he just needs to stfu about how great he is unless he starts taking the challenges to validate this.

ffs srl, who never proclaimed to be the greatest ever, was fighting duran(coming off his barkley win), hagler, lalonde, hearns and a prime Norris(who would beat the living **** out of canelo) in the twilight of his career.

and now we have this fraud running around saying hes the best ever who wants to fight unranked angulo at 154 but not canelo?

this guy just needs to stfu and stop disrespecting the sport even mentioning his name alongside the all-time greats who took real challenges.

ffs...it ****ing canelo alvarez. marquez and yory boy would've given him problems.

    jajajajajaja!

how many pounds did jr have over Sergio on fight night?

and we never ever hear Sergio proclaim hes the best ever let alone the best ever at mw.

In order to judge mechanical power, you must have mass. With that said, I'm not looking to get into bio-mechanics or physics. The fact of the matter, whether best or not, boxing uses weight as a metric to determine categorization. Even though we can see that someone's reach might be an advantage, there are other things that can't be seen and can be an advantage i.e. aerobic/anaerobic thresholds. For these reasons most pundits don't gauge quality of wins on how tall or how much reach someone has on his opponent. Unless we should start discrediting many of SRRs wins at 147, as he was 5' 11" and taller than many of his opponents. :-(

I don't think Floyd worries about being able to box Canelo's azz off, but rather with getting hit by a lucky punch, from a man that much bigger than him and possibly sustaining mental damage. If I haven't said this a million times, I haven't said it once...the GOAT SRR only ever fought an opponent who was 16.5lbs bigger than him. A boxing great who had KO power in both hands and was big for WW, yet we expect a guy with hardly any pop to fight a guy who out weighs him by 20+ lbs on fight night.

Or maybe Floyd is an egotistical SOB who wants to be just like other greats use to be and dictate the terms. The risk probably isn't worth it to him since he would give up the physical advantage along with the promotional advantage that many said for years he would never have. That is, unless you think Floyd's ego doesn't get in his way and an undefeated boxer on his level is actually scared of a man near his size, relatively speaking. :patsch
