There is not much Mayweather can do anymore to improve his ATG standing imo, unless he fight Martinez, and the Pac fight may perhaps elevate him a tad bit.

But comparing resumes Oscar undoubtedly will rank higher on the ATG standings.

Now before Mayweather fanatics get on me, I'll give Mayweather that he has better reflexes, and an amazing defensive style that is superior to Oscar's defense.

But as far as accomplishments, Oscar De La Hoya takes the cake. :deal

Even before it's said and done, Oscar is well behind.

    Sure.

Better wins over better opponents, not to mention undefeated. Throw in a head to head win too.

It's kinda weird that Floyd is considered greater than Oscar when:
    1. Most agree that Prime Oscar beats Floyd in a head-to-head matchup.
    2. Oscar has better wins and a more stacked resume.

People who rank Oscar low will rank in a way which makes them rank Pacquiao lower for his 'loss' to Bradley. And they treat Oscar's losses to Floyd and Manny as though Oscar was in his prime or even near his prime.

    Otherwise Oscar:
    W Trinidad
    W Prime Mosley
WHITAKER - even fight against a Top 20 ATG.
    W Quartey
    W Prime Vargas
    and others..

I think Quartey could have possibly beaten Mayweather.

The loss to Sturm is a bad look though.

And Mosley was on the roids, don't really like to factor those ones.

tbh I don't think it's that bad. This was the end for Oscar, he looked past prime and just way too small to compete at 160lbs, I mean after all, Floyd is demanding that Canelo is 147 or will at least try to catchweight him at 150.
Will I look at Floyd's resume and think it has damaged his greatness if he loses to someone like David Geale at a catchweight of 158lbs? Not at all.
Oscar was also a blown up welterweight in the 154lb division 'when it's all said and done', so competing at 160lbs was too much, and the reason why he couldn't really put in a fight with Bernard Hopkins.
