Facts are that Oscar De La Hoya has a better resume and better wins altogether.

Shot Oscar may have chosen the bigger money fight over Margarito, but have you forgotten how PRIME Mayweather DUCKED Margarito. facts brah. :deal

I agree. Trinidad, Mosley (2), Vargas, and Whitaker solidify it.

Whoever ranks Oscar ahead of Floyd in the ATG list knows nothing about boxing.

Oh well. That's what happens after a Floyd fight. We get these ridiculous nationalistic trolling threads.

    "X (Mexican) > Floyd"

Next we're going to get "Ricardo Lopez has a better resume than Floyd"

Floyd Mayweather also gives rematches to fighters who gave him close fights. Oscar never gave any rematches to Whitaker and Sturm. He never had a rematch with Trinidad among other things.

Maybe an overstatement I can admit but the guy wasn't prime he was clearly past his best and still managed to clown drop and out land Oscar.

I think Oscar tends to get a unfair shake sometimes. However, the truth is that he lost too many big fights (SSMx2, Bhop, Tito, arguable Quartey, Strum and Pernell) He beat shopworn JCC 2x, and Pernell who was cracked out. Oscar did fight most of the top fighters of the day but did the same thing that Floyd got blamed in doing in not fighting Vernon and Winky (Winky, like many of floyds potential foes, just did not work out) because they were high risk with low reward. when it is all said and done both guys will be considered amongst the best, but the history books will give the edge to Mayweather

A win against Trinidad IMO is on par with a win against Hopkins.

An even fight with a slightly past prime Whitaker > a win against Mayweather.

Whitaker was shot and was on drugs at the time. Trinidad and Mosley whilst great fights and possibly ATG's those aren't enough to even come close to Mayweather.

Fernando Vargas? He didn't even fight a prime Vargas, he fought one that was already beaten by Trinidad.

A 36 year old Hopkins easily beat Trinidad, how is he even comparable to Hopkins?

Mayweather is better than Pernell Whitaker even if Whitaker is in his prime.

People can say Oscar has better names on his resume but fact is Mayweather is the longer reigning fighter. Hurts to say but it's true.

Judging them between weights is interesting though in terms of guys fought
