Will Golovkin's fight against Macklin tell us if he's overrated?

I have already seen comparisons to Mike Tyson and wondering if i'm the only person who finds that statement ridiculous. What are your thoughts?

    Yeah, Macklin is kinda overrated.
People here think he actually can last more than 6 rounds against the triple god :bart

I think i read it on the bleacherreport. In terms of punching power compared to the rest of his weight division. :huh

If Tyson had a few more elite names on his resume then maybe you could start to compare him to triple g, but he doesnt so at this point I dont think it would be fair to compare. GGG>Tyson

It could tell us that, but I believe Macklin is taylor made for Golovkin. The only type of fighter that can stand a good chance with him at 160lbs is one with good movement and defense. Even if the guy is unproven, which I think he is, there is no doubt that he´s a big time puncher. I think a better opponent would have been someone like Barker or even Murray.

GGG is gonna beat the Irishman. It's not gonna be pretty but it will be a stoppage inside 6.

    It'll show us something.

Golovkin is going to come out and smack Macklin in the mouth, and Matty will smack him right back.

Then we'll see what GGG has under the hood.

    Yes.

    Yes, it will :good

Beating up never heard of Japanese lightweights might not be the best preparation for a fighter who beat Felix Sturm and went 11 with Martinez knocking him down twice.

This one will go to points IF Golovkin has stamina AND a chin.

He could well gas like Gonzales when he doesn't blast Macklin out.

    Which he won't :yep

Pretty much this. I expect GGG to get tested a little, but I also expect him to pass that test.

Of course, his detractors will point at any amount of struggle as proof he's under rated, and his most ardent supporters will claim this as a huge win.

The truth, as usual, will be somewhere in between.

I think people are overrating his power, lets be honest if angulo could drop rosado 3 times and have him on ***** street with every punch, then why couldn't golovkin do the same?

Golovkin might win,but he will take alot of damage and his chin will get tested.
