    Wrong, Federer was actually far off the #1 position before his win at Wimbledon 2012.

    I believe he was at a loss streak going into Wimbledon 2012. Going like 1-8 vs both the #1/#2 Rafa and Djokovic

    And many analysts say "The champion of last year must defend two things, his #1 ranking and the wimbledon title."

    Because MJ really only started his dominance after Pippen came along. Don't even try to argue this.

    84>91. He was a great scorer and one of the best players. But he was overshadowed by the Birds/Magics/Celtics of the world. He didn't really become MJ until Pippen and Rodman came along.

    that's because that champion won last year's wimbledon so he's defending it....how is that not clear?

    Federer was ranked #2 in the world going into the wimbledon...Djoker lost in the semis and would have stayed number 1 had murray beaten Fed in the finals....comeon dude, you're out of your comfort zone here....

    you guys realize MJ was highly regarded as the best player in the league his third year in..."not dominating until pippen" this mother****er averaged 37ppg one season and then 35ppg the next...wtf are you guys smoking

    edit: LOL pippen i understand...but this mother****er said Rodman hahahahah

    You don't think Rodman did a lot?

    I thought he was one of the biggest factors as to why they had the second three peat.

    And realistically, he was only able to score 37 points a game in the 86 season because his team was so weak. He had no one else to fall back on.

    as a chicago native i must tell you you're wrong.rodman didn't even come til' the last 3 ships.mj won the mvp and defensive player of the year award in 89' when scottie wasn't even close to the scottie we remember.and horace wasn't neither!his 63 pts he dropped in 86' against the eventual champs is STILL the playoff record.don't even start!

    Rodman came 96-98...and was shot to **** during the 1997-98 season....

    Jordan dominated the league the day he entered it until the day he left in 98 (not counting wizards and of course the 1.5 years he was gone DURING HIS PRIME).

    so lets go back to tennis talk...got anything else you want me to clarify for you?

    Nah, you're right. Thanks for the clarification. I always thought that Wimbledon awarded a ridiculous amount of points compared to the other slams.

    I guess I need to do more studying. Didn't realize that ATP ranked every slam the same 2000 points for the champion.

    I was told that Wimbledon was the most major tournament and whoever won it became world #1 immediately.

    But anyways. It still mean doesn't he's dominated as much as Floyd has when you look at it in a longevity standpoint.

    Floyd has been winning on a consistent basis in his 17 year career. And still on top after many years of being #1 p4p. You can't question that.
