Better then fighting Rios

This would be Khan's worst fight since Henry Bruseles on paper.

On paper these are all better fights of the 140 fighters than Khan-

Lamont Peterson, Danny Garcia, Lucas Matthysse, Mike Alvarado, Brandon Rios and maybe even Zab Judah 2

However I actually think Khan may do better than all of them for the 1st half of the fight at least because of his style, he's fast, athletic and likes to fight from distance like Mayweather.

There is a chance that draining to 140 is affecting Kahn too. Every now and again we see someone that does better when moving up. Not draining might give him a 'second half'.

 

Rios would knock khan out.

 

Garcia has NO chance against Mayweather..Khan has speed that could cause May some problems for a few rounds until May starts picking him apart and sparks him in 8

 

is the canelo fight a non-title affair?

I dont know. I think it´s the Peterson and Garcia matches that did it.

Khan had a few really though fights before getting knocked the **** out by Prescott.
He then had wars with Maidana and Peterson after wich he took some really bad shots from Garcia.

I think he should have taken a year off but he was back in the ring just five months after tha KO. Thats too soon. He is just 26 years old. Give him a few years to recover with easy fights. It´s clear that he needs it.
Build his confidence, try fix his techinical problems and let his body rest a little bit.

His name recognition is obviously working.

Why did Mosley and Margarito get shots at Pacquiao. Which is even worse because Pacquiao was the supposed P4P #1-2, #1-2 WW, FOTD, all that crap. And he fought those two.

Canelo is 22-23 years old, #10 P4P, 154 Ring champion, he needs names on his resume and Cotto is not an easy win as we saw him fight to at least 7-5 loss against Trout, and UD'ed against Mayweather in a tough fight. Surely Cotto will give Canelo a tough fight and make him earn that W against him.

 

Nah, his flaws are what effecting him, not his weight.

I agree with everyone else, worst/most undeserving Mayweather opponent in quite a while. I'll still watch to see the stoppage though.

 

Damn, so Cotto's a gatekeeper now? Kinda sad...
