The next fight had better be Berto, Ortiz, Guererro level that's all I'm saying. A former world champ who is still reasonably relevant. Even if its a Senchenko type after Jones i will just write Brook completely off and stop following his career.
This. Sooner or later Eddie has gotta put his money where his mouth is and take a chance with brook and get a proper, good name over for Brook.
It will be diaz after this. No way is he fighting berto ortiz guerrero with his mandatory ranking, way too risky pal.
No problem with this match-up. We all know why the Alexander fight didn't come off. That wasn't bad decision making, that was bad fortune. And Jones didn't look great against Byrne, but Byrne fought well and Jones didn't seem interested to me. Brook's been out the ring for a while, so having a rematch of his toughest fight to date surely cannot be that bad a return for him. After this I'd imagine he can push on to another title shot.
Brook's career is becoming so frustrating. I don't mind this fight considering he won't have fought for 9 months.
I dont really see the point in the fight...other than Kell should stop him but wont tell us anything or teach Kell anything new, yeah first fight back from October I'd prefer a diff opponent. Kell knows his opponent this time around..Kell is destined to not quite make it IMO.
Another carefully matched fight for Kell brook. At best Carson Jones is a fringe contender, before he fought Brook the first time i would have said he was somewhere between the 16th and 25th best Welterweight in the world. When is Kell actually gonna step up and fight a Top 10 Welterweight and not actually make excuses and keep pulling out of fights? Some of you who rate Brook must be sniffing glue, sure he's a pretty good boxer and has some skills but there's just nothing special there and as he showed against Carson Jones he was shown to be a level below the Top 10 in the world. Having said that i expect him to beat Jones this time although it wouldn't shock me if Carson actually beats him this time.
When he's not injured I imagine. Sadly people do suffer injuries, Eddie delivered a World title fight with no options against a well known but beatable opponent. Anybody who seriously believes that Kell Brook didn't want the fight is way off.
