No doubt in my mind! Leo has been champ, defended his belt three times against solid comp, while Gary is feasting on bums/TBAs. Leo beats him down stops him at this point imo. The pressure would have garry running! Leo a g

You make 10 of these threads everyday, saying some mexican/chicano "ends" either an established fighter or some up&coming talent.

I like both Leo and Mr.Russell.

It would be a good fight, but I don't think Leo Santa Cruz is the Goldenboy beast at feather. It's Mares, and he would tear up GRJ.

I have said, even before Rigo defeated Donaire, that Leo Santa Cruz is going to be the best at 122. The fact that Rigo defeated Donaire does not change my opinion on this. Santa Cruz is not another Donaire. Santa Cruz's style of fighting is going to give Rigo and Mares problems.

Bs,santa cruz wont be throwing 100 punches against russell jr and he better sharpen up his defense or get the brakes beat off him with russell.

That is a good fight. Neither is quite at the level of Donaire, Rigondeaux, Mares, etc, but are very promising against the competition they've faced thus far. Great stylistic contrast, make it happen.

Santa Cruz's style is made is Tailor made for Gary, he will walk in high guard Gary will pick him off with jabs and bodyshots, Santa Cruz will probably break down in the late rounds

Mares has a better chance at beating Gary because Mares randomly swings his punches, one of them could put Gary out cold
