Where the **** are people getting that Canelo has a pompous attitude and is spoiled? The guy is humble and well spoken.

Mayweather has come a long way. About 8 years ago I remember watching his fight on HBO against Bruseles. There was about 4,000 people in the crowd. I also remember people lambasting him for saying that $2 million per fight was slave wages. He dreamed big and he acheived big. Good for him.

Sorry, i'm a big Floyd fan but i don't feel that Canelo 'needs' him. He's a star in his own right, with a whole country and all of the Mexican-Americans behind him.
He can fight Cotto, Kirkland, the Lara-Angulo winner and do good business. Moreover, he has already made it very clear publicly that he is not going to let Floyd boss him around and dictate terms to him. If Floyd wants to fight at 154, Canelo will take it. If Floyd doesn't, Canelo will move on.

No matter what anybody thinks or says about it, Mayweather-Alvarez at 147 WILL NOT HAPPEN!

I guess its because he took himself off of Floyds ppv? Or maybe because it seems like he wont take whatever crap Floyd throws at him? :huh

*****s really are ******ed. Canelo asked for the fight with Floyd, but he isn't going to beg for it. He specifically said that he wouldn't chase the Floyd fight. If Floyd doesn't want the fight then he will move on. It's the fight fans want to see and he's up for it, so if it doesn't happen he isn't going to end up looking bad.

It's a pretty ******ed situation because the *****s claim that Floyd would easily beat Canelo, but yet they bring all this bull**** about why Floyd shouldn't fight him.

While I agree in principle (it's just the way it is in boxing, money and reputation wields power in negotiations). However, I wish all boxing was just a 'meet in the middle' type of negotiation: Use a ring that is exactly half-way between the normal ring size for the two, let both fighters pick their own gloves within the normal restrictions at their own weight classes, make the weight a midpoint between the two divisions, draw the referees name from a hat with half put forward by each time (unless they both agree on one). 25% of the money each, with the remaining 50% to the winner (I haven't thought that one through  but it's gotta be better than the ridiculous imbalances we see these days). Anyway, I'm sure my point is fairly clear - too much crap behind the scenes, and not enough laying it all on the table and just fighting.
