Roy Jones can make heavy. He can't run through Tyson's resume. He's a bum.

No. Because Vargas was a shell of himself when they fought. That's why he wasn't in the top 30 on any ranking while Corrales was ranked top 5 p4p.

I'm still waiting for reasons why Floyd is greater than De La Hoya WITHOUT people saying he lost to Trinidad, Mosley 2, and further assasination of De La Hoya.

Because if we turn to merely assasination tactics, Floyd has everything to lose against De La Hoya in this one.

A shell of Vargas was the Mayorga fight. Vargas was only like 2 rounds down on Oscar when Oscar stopped him. Stop it

A win over Chavez and Whitaker is still better than any of Floyd's wins, so yeah not sure why bring Vargas up.

Another dumbass enters the mix. Now I fully understand the reason why the mainstream do not give Oscar the credit he deserves.

okay he beat and old Chavez, and Vargas that got destroyed by Trindad, how the hell can he be ranked higher then Mayweather?????

Yes u can say he fought all of them but u got to win something.

Think about it though. Would Floyd have gone and fought those fighters? Oscar is respected for fighting tough ass fights either he won them or loss them. This is the best example of when some challenges himself to fight the best. He wasn't afraid to lose and didn't give a **** if he did lose, because he manned up and continued fighting the best.:deal

He won the Whitaker fight imo. It was Whitakers fault he starting ****ing about and lost rounds. The win alone beats anything Floyd has done. Cotto, Coralles, Marquez would of lost to the same Whitaker.

    :deal

When Oscar jumped up to the WW division, you had Whitaker, Quartey, and Trinidad holding belts at the same time for atleast 5 YEARS!!!!! Not once did they fight each other in all those years......

.... Oscar moves up and in 2.5 years fights all their asses and more, including a JCC rematch, Oba Carr, Aruto Gatti, and eventually Shane Mosley.... that is badass right there. :deal

Still no real case to justify Mayweather over Oscar.

All I hear is Oscar lost to Hopkins, Oscar was robbed to Trinidad, Oscar lost a close SD to Mosley... blah blah blah....

    What has Mayweather done?

If Mayweather went through Oscar's resume he would have losses all over, but he wouldn't have the balls fight Oscar's resume.

If Oscar went through Mayweather's resume, Oscar would be undefeated and look more spectacular in his wins than Mayweather.

Vargas was getting dropped by the likes of a faded, out of weight class Wilfredo Rivera and also was stunned and struggled against his sparring partner in the bouts prior to Oscar. He was finished. Just cuz he managed to juice up and bring some semblance of life back into his fighting form mean doesn't mean he was still good.

And sorry if I'm not bowled over by a win over an aged Chavez either. Try that **** with someone who learned the sport via youtube.
