Well resume-wise, the biggest victory for either fighter was DLH getting the nod over Sweet pea. Whitaker is one of my favorite fighters and I've seen that fight several times and honestly can't see how DLH got the nod over him. I always score it 2 to 3 rounds in favor of Pernell, he was a ring general in that fight and made De La Hoya look like an amateur in many instances. Even that win he took on a slightly over the hill Whitaker, and even his 2 victories over Chavez, while very impressive victories, happened several years after Chavez' prime.

And DLH and Floyd would never be able to happen prime for prime because they're in completely different weight classes at their peak. It's a double digit weight difference because Floyd was at his prime around 135, maybe you can make the case his absolute prime was around 04-05 when he moved up to JR Welter.

At this point I favor Floyd's resume. Him being undefeated slightly factors into my decision, but he beat DLH in their H2H matchup at Oscar's normal weight class (Junior Middle) and he's going through a torrid stretch dominating great opposition well into his 30's. His dominance for such a long period of time has to give FMJ the edge.

Still, both of them have carved out great careers for themselves.

    Can you count? 116 - 112, 115 - 113, 113 - 115 isn't a single point.

tell me more about Floyd's resume. :think

Oscar's normal weight class was not 154.

Oscar was best at 147 when he moved up and fought Whitaker, Quartey, Trinidad, Gatti, Mosley, Carr, Chavez II.

What do you think about Mayweather avoiding Williams, a prime Cotto, Margarito, and now Saul Alvarez?

Do you believe Mayweather would be undefeated if he fought Oscar's resume? Do you believe Oscar would have any losses if he had Mayweather's resume?

And ODLH is more decorated than Mayweather. :deal

You'll get into plenty of trouble posting things like the above. Don't you realise your supposed to be like 99% of the ****wits trolling the internet, and post lists of names like midget Fillipino politicians, and other garbage who people coulda, woulda, shoulda fought.

Tactics, and ability have no place in modern boxing discussion. It's all about finding a hero to suck on their genitalia, then abuse everyone who you claim ducked, or are ducking him. Perhaps one day someone will come up with the novel idea of starting a forum, where only technical discussion will be tolerated. Though I wouldn't pin my hopes on it.

The excuse of the imbeciles is the all encompassing RESUME. Just a reason to promote their pathetic fanboyism, because these fools simply do not know enough about how the game works, and how fighters adapt to beat the guy in front of them, no matter what his strengths are.

:patsch Do you realize if the Judge who scored the fight 115-113 in favor of May, if he gives one round to Oscar Floyd does not win that fight you do realize this dont you?

Typical bull****, ignoring every line of argument because it silences claims, so LikeFatherandSon repeats **** like a broken record.

Shitting on Fernando Vargas as though he was past prime haha, ****ing ridiculous. The guy was in his early 20's. He was knocked down in his fight with Rivera (a guy who Oscar mauled), but what LFAS failed to mention knowingly was that Fernando Vargas tko6'd him and beat his next opponent by tko before taking on Oscar.

LFAS did not even watch the Trinidad-Vargas fight. Vargas held very good account of himself against a solid ATG in Trinidad, and apart from the knockdowns, he was only behind on a point leading to the TKO.

Yeah, brush aside very quickly that Vargas was enhanced by steroids.

LikeFatherandSon, you must have a brain numbing day job that doesn't require complex thinking lol

29 Pages and Floyd fans biggest argument are:

    1. Oscar lost his biggest fights (Yet, his not so biggest fights are bigger than anything in Floyd's resume...Go figure)
    2. Floyd is faster.
    3. There is no blue print.

    These guys are good.

well this is true. I dont care who u fought u have to win some of them. fights that would've made Oscar the best of the best he lost. had a chance to be middle weight king and got spanked, alos got spanked by Sturm and wasnt even close (Mayweather would never lose to somebody that wasnt on his level at all). had a chance to be WW king and lost to Mosley. had a chance to beat the best fighter of his Era and be on top of the wolrd and lost to Mayweather

so I ask u this. how can Oscar possibly be ranked higher then Mayweather??? It makes no sense to me, and he lost to Mayweather, its not like they never fought. i mean to me its not even close. and check this....MAYWEATHER IS NOT DONE YET!! So Mayweather is only gonna rank higher as his career goes on.
