How? He hasn't fought anyone at 154 since getting the belt.. Who's to say he won't relinquish the title saying he isn't at his best at 154, as shown by his last performance before 154, at 154 and after 154?

He JUST fought this month, usually fights once a year. People thinking we're getting some sort of announcement on what he's doing soon are going to be waiting and anticipating a lot longer than necessary.

Do you really expect him to make an announcement anytime soon about the Canelo situation or who he's fighting? :think

You keep saying this over and over. What for?

We already know that Floyd won't fight Canelo at 154, and he indeed - as you say - would back off the fight. We agree with you, so stop repeating this aspect and focus on aspects of this discussion thats actually in debate. Floyd backing down from legit challenges, is not.

thats why he will be remembered as "money" and not for fighting the biggest fights that could be made. he avoided almost every major fight worth seeing after the castillo rematch. they were mostly mismatches because he wasnt fighting the ones that had a chance. true story. now continue with your gayness and lack of boxing knowledge :hi:

Mayweather would get as much credit for beating Canelo at 154 as Ward gets for beating Dawson at 168.

    Not much.

canelo's a natural 154 and he'll be a full blown MW in a couple of years

pac fight has come and gone (i blame both fighters)

the last 3 i can't see any reason why a fight can't be made

Yet Void is not the best fighter on the planet, Klitschkos are. Let's see how good Void is when he gets into a ring with a Klitschko. SOB Ward claims he would knock both Vitali and Vlad out, so when will he fight them? I'll bet he won't................Hell Void refused to fight Alvarez, Trout, Paul Williams, Martinez at 150 and is still running from Pac.

canelo is a solid junior middle, he isnt a natural junior middle

he started his career at 140, then 147, now 154

thats like saying floyd is a natural welterweight

an example of a natural junior middleweight would be winky wright who fought about 90% of his fights there.
so what if canelo consumes 20 pounds of water 12 hours after a weigh in, that hurts him more than anyone for draining himself....thats what everyone said about chavez....it did him zero good to outweigh sergio by 25 plus pounds....if floyd and canel are holding titles in the same division like they have for the last year, its a ***** move to not fight canelo there, especially since floyd was ranked #1 the entire time as well as ranked #1 pound for pound. its a ***** move to not fight him...its the only fight that matters right now

5%? its a lot lower than that.....probably 1% or less of all boxers make over a million per fight

Good to see a boxer at the top of the list. Not many will make it on the list, but I'm happy for those that do!

its not the only fight that matters - before the trout fight the jury was out on if canelo was the real deal or not

the weight has everything to do with it - and canelo will go naturally to middle within 2 years

since so many fans think floyd is 'ducking' a 154 fight against canelo, and canelo walks in less than 10 pounds lighter than ward did against dawson, then why aren't these same fans talking up canelo fighting a bigger man rather than floyd, who has made a career of moving through the weights and taking on bigger men

doesn't look so reasonable when you flip it like that, does it?

i think their projections are way too early for floyd and stupid to speculate in may...
the only way he comes close to that number is a canelo fight...no guerrero level opponents anymore will come close to that

I highly doubt Canelo moves up to Middle weight in two years. If he's not ready now, he's not going to be any more ready in two years.

I don't think Canelo will be as good at middle weight as he is at Jr middle. IMO everything that makes Carnelo special at Jr middle weights such as size and speed, will disappear when he meets other middle weights that are just as fast, or faster, bigger and stronger then himself.
