    alvarez is 5 foot 7
can you seriously see him fighting at middleweight or super middleweight?
doesnt matter what weight he comes in at. if he is 168, yeah thats the weight division of a super middleweight that they cut weight to. you those same guys weighing in a 168 the day before are cruiserweights on fight night. and cruiserweights are heavyweights on fight night....so its not reasonable for you to assume canel be in the same ring with an andre ward, kessler, or are 6 foot 1 and 2 and 185 to 190 on fight night.
not until mayweather gave excuses about these next day fight weights were they ever brought up.....hell marlon starling jumped up from 147 to 160 to fight michael nunn when he was undefeated...he wasnt bitching about what nunn would weigh the next day..thats one example out of about 1,000
the weight is a reason not to fight him, because at the end of the day, they are technically ranked 1,2 at 154. no way around that...he is big enough to hold a belt at 154 and be #1 , then he should be big enough to fight a fellow 154 title holder

Void should have fought Martinez, Paul Williams, Pac, Alvarez, etc., but Void will probably fight another featherweight. Christy Martin is the boxer he wants next and I would not be surprised it Showtime would be stupid enough to show it. Void is a woman beater, takes a lot of courage to beat up a woman..............

floyd holds a belt because he beat a blown up welter, and he did it to say, "look i'm a champ at another weight"
but he knows, as well as we do, that it's a token title only - and floyd is smart enough to know that the only fights he'll be having at 154 are against blown up welters
the reason is because floyd is less effective

canelo won't hit SMW, but i'll bet my house he's a MW in 2 years

You're really underestimating Khan's fan base with that statement. Also, don't forget that Floyd will make big money against anyone with this CBS/Showtime deal.

    1) Bradley is a Top Rank fighter.

    2) Unless Alexander can look spectacular against Purdy then follow that up with a virtuoso performance against Kell Brook, I don't see how anyone would want to pay to see him fight Mayweather.

    3) Matthysse would be a very interesting matchup and I personally would pay to see him fight Floyd if he can get past Peterson and Garcia.

i agree and i think showtime have a major problem on their hands with PPV and floyd after the guerrero fight
canelo is easily the best $$ option, but you're a better man than me if you can think of a solution to the weight issue

at the end of the day, just as you said with his logic, makes him a cherry picker.
    thats the definition of one

canelo probably will be at 160 one day, but he wont be a force like he is now...he is pushing his size limitations for 154 as it is. i would venture to say other than roberto duran, i dont think anyone has ever won a title at middleweight being 5 foot 7
kinda reminds me (size wise) when vinnie pazienza went from 154 straight up to 168 (think he skipped 160 all together) short arms, no power, threw alot of flurries, was fun to watch ect... too short...

floyd may have taken some fights that were a safer option at times, but the truth is there is no-one around at 140 or 147 who can challenge him, so people who want to see him lose want him to take on canelo

showtime do too i bet big time, but this fight not being made has everything to do with the weight and i don't see a solution

anyone who thinks floyd is dodging canelo because he won't fight a big natural 154 lb'er in their own backyard doesn't understand what a difference that extra weight makes to floyd - same thing if canelo weight drains
i dont expect either to do it

about the MW's, saying canelo does move up eventually, it's not a strong division atm so i think he has a good shot at a legit title there despite the height

I think Mayweather's list maybe a bit different from mine but my list would be:

    1) Broner 147
    2) Pacquiao 147
    3) Alvarez 154
    4) Martinez 160
    5) Golovkin 160

    Floyd's list is probably

    1) Alexander 147
    2) Khan 147
    3) Maidana 147
    4) Garcia 147
    5) Peterson 147

I don't think any of the Fab4 would've seen raw and small Canelo as a huge threat.

He's not is he? As long as he weighs 154 or less.
