Peterson is definitely more versatile, but I think he's half and half in terms of quality. He's a decent outside fighter, but not great. And he's a solid inside fighter, but far from among the best. So while being able to switch gears is an advantage he should try to maximize against Mathysse, who's punches aren't always easy to predict but is always consistent in his pressure, I don't think he can avoid getting the worst of it at either range.

Matthysse by knockout, however, wonder if Peterson will be juiced up again? It appears that PEDS are legal for Peterson. Why is that?

    Matthysse is the betting favorite:

lamont is a well rounded guy. an i kno he can find something that works vs lucas. but he doesnt have all day to figure him out. lucas isnt a slow starter anymore. lucas is trying to get you outta there after being in a couple controversial decisions. so lamont needs to find answers quicky cuz lucas come forward with educated consistent hard work to your body an head non stop all ****in fight. hes kinda one dimensional so that worrys me but he isnt ur typical come forward fighter. lucas is smarter then alot and doesnt take much abuse at all in there. i kno lucas comes forward with intelligent pressure, hes no brandon rios. a good boxer can box rios ears off if there in good shape an have a solid chin. what sets lucas apart is he not out control relentless but ur deff not backin him up and he hits super hard. n throws beautiful combos to the head and body.

im goin with lucas but i can see lamont finding something that works and using his athleticism to win a decision. but lamont doesnt really just do one thing and i think he will eventually stayin in the pocket throwing combos with lucas and getting caught all over with hard shots. and its pretty scary that lamont couldnt knock down khan!!!! lol... now that i thought about that i think lucas can walk this guy down and mop him up

It so appears that PEDS work for Peterson, his own personal referee and judges. The boxing comish? Wonder if Peterson will be juiced for this fight?

Lamont better be juiced to the core don't want to hear no excuses afterwards. There also won't be no random blood testing I believe.

of course why not..I'm really not a hardcore gambler but sometimes when I feel the casinos are mispricing a fight I put some money on.

The problem is for Peterson, is that he has no punching power. He may come to fight, but he also has a somewhat shaky chin and can be hurt. He was hurt a couple times in the Khan fight, and Khan isn't known as a big puncher. If Khan and Bradley can hurt Peterson, then Matthysse will soon enough land a hellacious shot on Peterson's chin and put him out cold. Peterson isn't someone who is hard to hit, so I don't see this fight lasting more than 5 rounds if I'm honest. How anyone can even pick Peterson is beyond me.

Most definitely not,I know you got one.I'd give pederson full credit for for winning a controversial split dec if it goes to the cards :good.I'm not hoping he survives 12 rds & gets awarded a gift dec like you are though.

    Cant look past Matthyse here

Peterson is decent but he can but hit and hurt down against Khan and Bradley neither huge punchers. Yeah he can be versatile but hes at his most effective coming forward and he isnt as strong or powerful as Matthyse i cant totally rule of a cheaterson win on points but i really do think hes getting rocked and stopped Lucas about round 9
