Modern era heavyweight champs and top contenders:

**please note a top contender in the old days would also have been a titleholder , they were just unlucky enough to have only one belt back then

    Roy Jones

    Alex Povetkin

    John Ruiz

    David haye

    James toney

    Adamek

    Michael Moorer

    Chris Byrd

    Evander Holyfield

That's just off the top of my head

All these guys weighed around Rockys weight or even less at some points.
Marciano himself could add a few pounds and be the same size as some of these guys at heavyweight- just like they did.

Maybe he would not beat a Klitschko or Lewis- maybe he would ! Former lightheavy Holyfield beat a so called super heavy in Bowe, drew with lennox.

This illusion of the "Super heavyweight era" is just that.

There is 3 examples of thsi the klits and lennox- thats about it. Even they had harder times with former cruisers than todays useless heavyweights.

Any man can compete for the HW title, and the size of a man 200lbs plus with speed and skills and good althletisism can be the man.

The problem with Vital and Lewis is that they are more skilled than their opponents, not their height

Also the Super heavyweight era is no illusuion.

The men who have dominated over the past 20 years are

    Wlad Klitschko 6'6 approx 245
    Vitali Klitschko 6'8 approx 250
    Lennox Lewis 6'4 approx 245
    Riddick Bowe 6'5 approx 245

And since 1990, you've had champs like Valuev who is 7 foot and over 300lbs

Even Povetkin is 3-4 inches taller and 30lbs heavier than Marciano.

Tyson was 30 lbs heavier than Marciano.

Holyfield was 4 inches taller and about 20-30lbs heavier.

David Haye is 5 inches taller than Marciano, and even at Cruiserweight outweigh Marciano by 15 lbs

The heaviest Marciano ever weighed was 192lbs,in his first fight and weighed as little as 178 in his career, making him basically the same size as Andre Ward.

he might do something agaist lesser tier fighter but he would be giving up height and strength to the likes of Adamek and we have seen what happens when Charles got in the ring with Vitali

It would be fun to watch but the likes of Lewis and Bowe would massivly out power him

He might grab a belt against a fellow smaller heavy but against the giants i think the size would be too much and he would never be a dominate champion

Wlad-dropped by former light heavy, hardest opponent of his career was a former cruiser

    Vitali- beaten by lightheavy

Lewis- former cruiser was on of his toughest opponents

Bowe- beaten by former cruiser also

The great era of monstors where John Ruiz is a multi title holder

Where a former light heavy in chris byrd who also has no punch- was a long standing champion

Yet poor lil marciano would never survive in this shark pool

Most likley , exactly my point though.

Still the Klits would probably never beat Tyson in prime neither, doesnt mean they would not last in the division.

But even in the tougher era of the 90s Moorer was champ

How exactly was Byrd a light heavy?

The guy spent nearly his entire career at around 215 and was 6 foot.

Were any of these guys ACTUAL cruisers/LHWs WHEN they fought these guys??

    No.

And besides Marciano weights the same as many modern SMW weigh in the ring.

Byrd fought at light heavy- in the ring when he started at 169lbs and was a known fact that he had to bulk up to be a heavy- he was never a real HW

Everyone knows that and he finished hsi career at 175 also

Marciano could be a 200lb man

Smaller men like Byrd and adamek did it

Instead of adding weight like Haye Adamek and Byrd

You think he would shrink ?
