Greb fought all over the US, Northeast, Midwest, South, Canada multiple times. He was not always in front of friendly crowds. And traveling was much more difficult in Greb's day.

I have shown where Louis, who preceded Marciano, and Patterson, who followed, both were more adventurous in their choices of venue and crowd. Now, why not Marciano? Did he need the home crowd to perform?

Does someone want to point in the direction of a champion who was as cloistered as Marciano? Can someone provide this name? I would say Waldo is close but he has performed in NY, NV and Germany, tho he has certainly settled into Germany at the latter stages of his career.

Who the f cares whether he fought in Madison Square Garden or in the back room of a whorehouse in amsterdam. It really doesn't matter. Bottom line is WHO Marciano actually fought. He fought the best contenders of his day, and never avoided black fighters.

actually if you look at his record exactly 70% of his fights were in PA. Its a fact. thanks for playing. and travel didnt really develop a huge amount from '15 - '50. couple more roads? cars a bit faster? plane travel still wasnt too common.

Give it a rest hanging balls. Why dont you make one of your positive threads, maybe one about the size of Wlado's arms......And btw, tune in tomorrow night to see your boy's vanquisher dispose of some polak.

seamus is telling what he think and i tis fine, he has the balls to post what he think , he knows his boxing so he can do it, dumb kids ike sally-trunks or azzer85 should get out of the classic forum with his crap type " holmes 88 was better than lewis 2003, or george foreman was not a great finisher, vitali klitschko would have been an average fighter in the 80s"
