He was still quicker IMO, the speed hadn't left him completely, or he was at least as quick. And Nacho distinctly told Marquez to give him the early rounds, which paid off beautifully once the opportunities for the KO were there. Katsidis was never champion but hellbent contender.

Casamayor was already old and shot! What don't you understand about that?

Neither guy stops the other. I think this goes 12, close rounds.

Camacho, being the faster fighter initiating more of the exchanges likely takes a few of the closer rounds and a decision. I love JMM, but it's hard to sway 2 out of 3 judges when the other guy is viewed as "making the fight."

Camacho was pretty amazing at 130 and fought. I gotta go with Hector by split decission. RIP Champ!

    Camacho wins.
Too slick, too fast for JMM.
    Remember.
    Macho beat Duran and Leonard.

Really difficult stylistic matchup for Marquez, who would have a number of moments, but would lose by decision.

This version would KO JMM. After this fight Limon lasted 7 rds to Chavez Sr and lost a desicion(8rds) against Sharmba Mitchell

What annoys me is the way people can pick holes in JMM performances and say for certain that here, this is why Camacho gets to him because Pacquiao did this and John did this and Floyd ****ed him up in counter punching stakes.

Yet i'm almost certain you could revise Camacho's career and say Greg Haugen beat him twice, yet Greg Haugen is a ****in nobody in the grand scheme of things.

Also Camacho's KO ratio was about 43% yet somehow Marquez has little or no chance of lasting 9 with him. This logic really pisses me off.

Just shows nostalgia plays tricks on the mind.

He was visibly game and far from shot, what optometric affliction stops you from understanding that?

I like Camacho in this one, too quick, hand and foot, probably decisions Marquez.
