    He's number one for me. He fought EVERYONE, often at concessions. And the only time he clearly lost was against a much bigger Mayweather

    He's surpassed the holy Chavez in my eyes

    I think in time after his career is over he'll be remembered as one of the great Mexicans. I think he's a great fighter.

    He surpassed Morales and Barrera, that's for sure.

    I have him at #2 right after Julio Cesar Chavez.

    He has a case for #1. It will improve if he beats Bradley. I don't know if he has the strongest case though. I think had they fought a few years before, Barrera would have won. He never fought Morales. How good is Pacquiao really? What about Bradley? Dose he have the skills of Lopez? The resume of Sanchez?

    Marquez' resume is ridiculous. x4 Pacquiao (most often at brutal concessions). Mayweather, who made him come up two divisions, and was still so scared he refused to make weight

    Morales was a true legend, but theres not a chance in hell he could have beat Juan Manuel

    :lol: he's seen their fights bro. but i agree with him. jmm consistently fought the toughest opposition. i dont know if you could say that for some of the old time Mexican legends being lauded on here

    Marquez really seperated himself from Mayweather and Pacquiao by actively seeking out the very best opponents. And almost without exception, he schooled or destroyed them

    I still can't rate Marquez above Morales.

    Marquez floundered early in his career before finally winning the lineal lightweight title and clearly beating Pacquiao in 2011 and KTFO6 and I believe that is what bumps him ahead of Barrera, as well as beating him officially.

    But clearly it has to be Morales ahead of the other two, people have a hard time separating Morales and Barrera ATG-wise but it's pretty simple IMO and it's Morales handily.

    CLEAR wins over Pacquiao and Junior Jones who both KTFO of Barrera, is what seals it. Morales also not getting stopped in his prime should separate him. They both had solid reigns against basically identical opposition as well at 122 and 126, with the big W coming at 130 for Morales over Pac while El Terrible was already past it

    I just can't see it for Marquez. Close to Prime Barrera and Prime Pacquiao just wins the day for me in Morales' favour.

    Olivares, Saldivar, and Canto were the top dogs and rulers of their divisions, which were all very very stacked divisions at the time of their reign.

    Good analysis. A lot of Marquez's case rests on how you scored all of the first three Pacquiao fights, which two of were better versions than Morales's IMO. Would you say a Bradley win tips the scales in his favor? Might rival the Junior Jones win.

    (Also, past 135, JMM was clearly past it when up against a more well rounded Pac.)
