Im not one of those fans who thinks Tyson was unbeatable with Rooney or whatever etc. but Mike Tyson was a great fighter who won the Heavyweight Championship and electrified the sports world. Not just the boxing world but all of sports. He was a force of nature at his peak and even slightly off his peak he was still imposing. atsch Please folks quit matching David Tua against great fighters. He wasn't at that level. Mike Tyson was. A simple fact. Next David Tua thread I see better be against Bert Fukin Cooper!
heavy_hands the Buster Douglas that beat Tyson was the greatest fighter ever. At least that is what Tyson fans will tell you. Tyson struggled against any tall fighter who had a jab even if he won. I see alot of Tua hate or the typical mentally challenged Tyson fanboys. If Tyson could beat these people then Tua would of done the same since Tua's chin if far better so he wouldn' have to worry about being stopped.
LOL, why did Tua never pick up a belt if he was so great ? His claim to fame is making it close with a unknown nutcase and knocking out Huggybear who in return actually won and succesfully defended a belt while your hero participated in one of the most boring challenges at a title , period.
And Tua was woeful in his two title shots making him 0-2. Tyson got out to a 10-0 lead in title matches before losing.
yes, tokyo douglas was better than 64 clay, tyson was shot at 23 , and he was again in his peak against ruddock in 1991, tyson with damato in his corner during all his career would have been 100-0:deal
Tua could of picked up belts if his promoter was a murderer like King. And who do you think the media loves more, quiet guys like Tua or loud, slow witted ****** like Tyson? Nobody in this country gave a damn about Tua. Tyson with D'amato in his corner speed was so great he was 5 times faster than the Flash. Tyson's chin was so great I once saw Superman fly right at him at full speed and punch him and Superman broke his hand.
Also Tua came along at a harder time than Tyson. Tyson wasn't going to win the title from Holyfield, Bowe, or Lewis. I doubt Tyson could even beat the Foreman who beat Moorer.
Tua was an excellent fighter with tons of unrealized potential. But you're right out to lunch if you think a prime Tyson (87 - 88 ) couldn't beat Holyfield, Bowe, Lewis, old Foreman, OR Moorer.
Tua was never that good in the first place. Tyson couldnt beat the Foreman of the Moorer fight, the same Moorer who was beating Foreman for about 10 rounds? any version of Tyson from 85-91 tears old Foreman a new hole, just like he tore Holmes one. Tuas best years were mid to late 90s. You put a 20-21 year old Tyson in that timeframe against Holyfield, Bowe and Lewis of that time period and you think he cant beat them? GTFOH. Bowe got slapped around by Golota twice, Tyson made Golota QUIT after 1 round, and Tyson was probably worse off than Bowe was when he fought Golota. a youngere Tyson would perform much better against Lewis than Tua could dream of. Your Anti Tyson hate is sinking to new lows
Who did King murder to get Tyson his belts? The media has got nothign to do with what goes on in the ring. Tyson was that damn good and Tua just plain sucks. The flash doesnt exist, Tysons speed is evident on numerous tapes Superman doesnt exist, Mike Tyson does and even if Superman DID exist....Tyson KO1 :hi:
the same moorer who did beat to holyfield once and tyson could never do it yes, because holmes was as strong as foreman, he did hit as hard, he was as big and he had the same style, you are a complete ******, jesus.
