This ^ First off he beat everybody and became the legit champion at a very young age like 20-25. Then he got banned for 2,5 years wich took the best years of his physical prime from him.

He still came back to win against everybody, that says ALOT about a fighter.

I however want to point out that Wladimir would probably eat through everybody in that era expect Ali, fraizer, foreman and Norton. I can see Wladimir winning over Fraizer and Norton but looses horrible to Foreman.

Fan bias is clouding posters judgement. The fight would go the distance. It's unlikely that either man wins by stoppage. I will say this, Wlad is an awfully tough style matchup for Ali. Not saying he wins, but if the books had Ali the proverbial favorite because of his legend status, I would be betting on Wladimir.

not to mention, he not only fought the best of his era...he fought them 2 and 3 times each. and when he became champion those first 2 times, it was against the most feared guys of their era where he was a massive under dog....
people thought he was crazy for fighting liston in an immediate rematch....they thought it was a fluke the first time....
im not one to get into hypothetical match ups...but i dont think anyone could have touched ali when he was defending the first title he won

Quarry, Lyle, Frazier, Holmes, Norton, Bonavena, Bobick, Shavers, Young and Coetzee. There are ten right there and that doesn't include Ali and Foreman.

I'm thinking along the lines of Ali v Lyle, which was a boring fight and a fight that some had Ali losing, only for Muhammad to nail Lyle with a right seemingly out of nowhere and end the fight shortly thereafter. It's possible something similar could happen here.

This would be a one sided battering. Ali would play with Wladimir for a few rounds then stop him in the mid rounds.

:hi: Troll, could not stop Haye and you think he would stop Ali who has 10 times better chin, stamina, heart footwork simply put everything aside from power.
And fact that you remotely compare Haye and Holyfield shows you are troll or idiot...

  15. Never understood this Ali hype .. it's just the old, boring .. "back then everything was better" **** .. and of course the Klitschko hate.

Wlad would destroyl Ali in the ring, no doubt. Mike Tyson would even kill him.

It was a different time, most of the boxers there wouldn't even get a win against Jason Gavern, Ali dominated and finally got his ass kicked. End.
