    WBA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE FIGHT
    Alexander Povetkin W25-0-(17 KO's) vs Andrzej Wawrzyk W27-0(13 KO's)

    and

    WBA WORLD CRUISERWEIGHT TITLE FIGHT
    Denis Lebedev W25-1-(19 KO's) vs Guillermo Jones W38-3-2(30 KO's)

Povetkin vs Wawrzyk will probably be a one sided affair seeing Povetkin winning by around 6 round KO. Wawrzyk is an average heavyweight without any redeeming qualities from what i've seen of his fight.

Lebedev vs Jones could be very interesting if Jones is in decent shape and coming to win rather then turning up for a payday. Jones is a very talented and skilled boxer at his best but inactivity and age could well have caught up with now. If he still has one great performance in him then he could well pull off a shock and outbox Lebedev to a points victory or late stoppage. If not then Lebedev wins a comfortable points decision in a rather tepid affair.

Pretty much agree with your assessments. I was looking at Wawryk earlier, since the odds are incredibly tempting for an unbeaten fighter against Povetkin who I think is a good few years past his prime, but I realised the odds are that way for a reason. Wawryk has no snap in his punches at all, fights on the backfoot, and is pretty clumsy and lacking co-ordination and balance. Think it will be a pretty **** fight.

Jones that beat Arslan causes Lebedev all kinds of issues, the guy is supremely relaxed and a great bodypuncher. 2 years out of the ring is criminal though.

Agreed. At his best Jones is very similar to James Toney from 10 years ago although a bigger stronger version. If he'd been promoted properly over the years he could well have been a star.

Being with Don King was probably the worst thing that happened to him as his career has gone nowhere due to inactivity but when he has fought recently he's looked very good especially against Firat Aslan.

Chudinov looks heavy handed. Not too dissimilar to Provodnikov. Crude enough, but seems a tough sort and his punches look heavy.

    Brewer retires after the third.

That's a good win by Chudinov as Brewer is no slouch.

Just nipping out for an hour so hopefully will get back in time for 2 main events.

Brewer is one of those guys that either turns up with intensity ready to spring an upset if the other guy isn't on his game, or completely turns up for the pay cheque.

I suspect this one was the latter.

Not especially, Chudinov just walked through him and threw crude overhand rights, clubbed him around the side of the head with left-hooks too. Grady wasn't really throwing with conviction and was content to survive on the backfoot. Unfortunately his back hit the ropes a lot, he got broke down and called it a day after Rd3. Dunno if there was an injury.

Jones WAS a very good fighter, but that was 3 years ago. Quick YouTube of the Firat Arslan fight would tell you what he WAS about. He's a very relaxed fighter, skilled at close range without having to move around the ring a lot so he knows how to roll punches, and a vicious body puncher. He likes to break guys down this way rather than being a big puncher (obviously he's come up in weight over his career - he's not a massive hitter). His career is a bit of an enigma, started at welterweight, and often gone completely AWOL for long periods. It's all about what he has left as to how good this fight is.

Povetkin's opponent is crap and shouldn't provide a massive test. Not a puncher, fights on the backfoot and tries to keep at arms length, but he's not got great balance and shouldn't be that hard for Povetkin to catch up with.
