Id be shocked if Lebedev ever see's clearly from that eye again. I know people who had much less damage to the eye and it ****ed their eye up for life

 

This was disgraceful. The ****ing ref is a stuipid ass. Same like the Doctor and the stuipid ass trainer. At the end Lebedev had to pull out himself.



I hope we see the winner of Jones vs Huck/Afolabi (likly Huck for me)

 

Jones is already 41 and he is not expected to fight within the next 2-3 years

Jones is a former welter how he managed to make that weight i'll never know and now hes kicking ass at cruiser what a badass.

 

The **** he did. He was just lucky to cause the swelling. Now Boytsov vs Wilson was an asskicking.

 

Mixed emotions here, it was a truly great fight but the fact that the referee took so long to ask for the doctor to inspect the eye, the fact that the doctor allowed him to continue thereafter and the fact that lebedevs corner allowed him to fight on is quite sickening.

In the end poor lebedev had to make the decision to save himself and after the effort he gave he should have been spared that.

 

Lebedev is very unlucky
Got robbed at the Huck fight
Now the eye problem in the other title fight
I am not optimistic about his future :-(
At least he won a world title

What the hell were the ref, corner, and doc thinking letting it continue for so long with that ****ed up eye. I'm honestly disgusted.
That does not look like your average badly swollen eye. To me it looks like potential serious damage. At best a broken eye socket.

On paper it will look like a poor defeat for Denis. But anyone who saw this knows that he really couldn't have done anymore than he did.

Unfortunately Jones' shocking win won't be the main focus after this fight, which is incredibly unfair for him.

Sadly, what i'll remember this fight for is the absolute disgust i was feeling while watching for the last 4-5 rounds.
I know that they were absolutely desperate for Lebedev to win, but they have absolutely no right to do that to him. As i see it, this was complete ****ing neglect from his corner, the ref (who's main job in the ring is fighter safety).... and especially the doc, who's ONLY ****ing job is fighter safety.

 

For sure that ref shouldn't be let near a boxing ring again. Lebedevs corner should be ashamed.
