That thread title shouldn't be allowed to exist.

Like Joe Louis, Ali did not like to be crowded. He was an out fighter, who liked to fight at a distance. Frazier was a stylistic nightmare for Ali. Wlad and Vitali are both out fighters like Ali. Obviously, Frazier's success against Ali has **** to do with how a fight between Ali and one of the Klits would play out.

To be fair, Gordie Howe did and he played without a fackin helmet. Jim Brown took shots all over his body. Wilt did play sissyball though.

    But I see your point.

I agree, because the OP pulled it straight out of his ass. Dan said the fights would be competitive, he didn't say he'd favor anyone.

The Ali that fought Frazier wasn't prime. Just saying. He had clearly lost a step or two after he came back.

What does a fight with Frazier have to do with the Klits? We're talking entirely different styles here. It's thinking like Dan's which is why so little people thought Ali would beat Foreman. We all saw what happened in that fight. Styles make fights. A hard punching, hard nosed, swarmer with a ton of heart like Frazier will always give a guy like Ali trouble. The Klits don't fight like that. I'm not saying they couldn't be competitive with Ali, but the logic Dan displayed is seriously flawed.

some fighters from different eras could compete with this era if put in there right weight class.

marciano vs roy jones for example :rofl does anyone in there right mind think rocky would even land a punch.vinny paz did better than marciano would

That really has nothing to do with the reason I posted. I posted because the quote in the title is an outright fabrication. My point is that Dan never said he favors anyone in these fantasy match-ups, but that they would be competitive. I think most people can agree they would indeed be competitive matches. However, fighter A beat fighter B so fighters C and D would be competitive with fighter B is, yes, flawed logic. It's ultimately true, but the logical proof stated by Dan is broken.

Joe Frazier is a cruiserweight? And what was Chris Byrd and Vitali lost to him.

Ali doesn't have knockout power? Well he knocked out Foreman who fought in the 90's against people like Morrison and Briggs who were big time punches and they couldn't even hurt him.

Foreman fought Briggs when he was pushing 50 and clearly won. 12 years later Vitali fought the same Briggs who was out of shape and toward the end of his career and didn't do much better.

Logic would state a prime Foreman would of beat Briggs easier and Foreman fought in the same era as Ali, Frazier, and Norton.

foreman knew how to pickem.he would of never picked byrd to fight.

chris byrd would of been a knockout artist had he faught in the 60s and 70s.

byrd would of boxed circles around big george.young george or older george would of lost big to byrd.

Wlad has two-fisted power and is a great technical boxer who towers over Ali. Ali openly admitted in interviews he lacked K.O. power and that he had to outbox most opponents. Wlad can and does knockout the vast majority of his opponents and easily outboxes the rest. Most opponents fail to win a single round. Dan Rafael is correct that a fight between Wlad and Ali would be competitive. I don't know if most posters have noticed but the folks who think that Wlad-Ali wouldn't be competitive seem to be foul-mouthed, unpleasant individuals reduced to insulting Dan Rafael and fighters other than Ali or Frazier. Hating a Klitschko and vulgarity and inarticulateness seem to go hand in hand. Perhaps the K-bros remind them of everything they will never be--successful gentlemen who happen also to be great prizefighters.
