Froch beating ward in a rematch would surely rank very high Purdy beating Alexander would be a big achievement too So got me thinking, maybe older fans could help as well as I'm a modern day boxing follower Which wins made the biggest impression on the world stage and which were the hardest and best achievements by a domestic fighter How do these rank Hatton tzyu/castillo etc Calzaghe Kessler/Hopkins/lacy etc Froch bute/pascal/Taylor etc Benn McClellan/barkley Honeyghan curry etc Khan Judah/maidana etc Hamed kelly etc Lewis Holyfield/Tyson/klitschko etc D Williams Tyson Mcguigan pedroza etc And what about haye, eubank,Watson, bruno,Mckenzie, burns, thompson and others have they wins that rank higher These are some I can think off in recent years Add and grade the ones you rate Would be nice to come up with a top 10 of British wins on the world stage,I know there are some notable ones from the 70s and other eras that I can't claim to have seen or understood their impact compared to the likes of above Give me your top ten

Question for brits, how dies it feel that every one of your "good" wins is against shot or badly faded greats? Where's the Brit who beat prime greats?
Buchanan dethroning the great Ismuel Laguna in Puerto Rico takes some beating. The fact that he fought outdoors in extreme heat and high altitude makes the win even more imressive, especially since Ken was a pasty skinned Scotsmn not used to the sun Buchanan never even acclimated to the conditions, he went over days before the fight. Im sure there was a thread like this started not long ago.
Well try this on for SIZE... Jock McAvoy DESTROYED World Middleweight Champion Babe Risko in One Round knocking him down 6 times before the slaughter ended... as a result of keeping the said title in America, McAvoy was afforded NO Shots at the middleweight title. the 5'9" McAvoy did however get a shot at the ATG John Henry Lewis for the World's Light-Heavyweight Title, and he took Lewis to task for the FULL 15 rounds. something NONE of His American Middleweight contemporaries DIDN'T do, you know, the ones they wouldn't let him fight! and among them were Steele, Apostolli, Krieger and Hostak... you'll also note Risko had full distance fights with some of these himself. now shall we talk about Ted Kid Lewis, Kid Berg, Wilde & Lynch and other British LITTLE MEN that RULED the World for about 25 years or so.
Define prime and great, as using abstract terms (as I suspect you know) is not really going to get you a serious answer.
