if wlad couldnt handle brewstwers left hook then hows he gonna take povetkins??? brewsters are heavier then povetkins...but povetkins are sharper and much faster...and he cuts of the ring nicely/ and doesnt have a detached retina also.....if wlad get s hit flush with a left hook....is he gonna have a panic attack again????

Wlad ain't taken a flush power-shot for years. I doubt Povetkin would get near him.

2005-13 Wlad is a league above any version of Brewster and he'd be the first to admit it.

so if lewis couldn't take Rahmans right hand , no way he could take Wlad's ir Maskaev's? If jimmy young easily outboxed Foreman , what would chris byrd do to him?

wladimir lost to three guys he was better than.it happens every now and then.the better fighter does not always win.most of the time but not always.

brewster is at least = to povetkin but brewster has a much better left hook.the only question is how long it lasts before wladimir decapitates povetkin.

Wlad handle the left hook very well in the second fight. He learned with Emanuel Steward to take a punch, to recover and how to react well.

And to protect himself much better.

and evander holyfield couldnt KO blown up middleweight Bobby Czyz , but knocked out tyson the next fight taking his titles

Both Ken Norton and Joe Frazier beat and went the distance with Muhammad Ali before they fought george foreman
Joe Frazier and Ken Norton lasted a total of 4 rounds agaisnt george foreman when Ali was getting his shot foreman
Ali ended up getting massacared by foreman right? how could he not!

Sometimes you can take it, sometimes not, you have to be trained for it.

And you have to be careful, the punch you cannot see, is the most dangerous.

Brewster punched considerably harder than Povetkin.

I dislike Wlad, but Brewster's hooks were irrelevant to the outcome of that fight. Zuri Lawrence couldv'e knocked Wlad out after wlad was flailing around the ring and looking to fall over from exhaustion. That was a bizarre fight and I don't think anything can be taken from it (other than Brewster could take a lot of punishment)

Beyond the points everyone else has raised, let's see if Povetkin is willing and able to absorb what Lamon did to land those hooks.

Vlad stopped Brewster in the rematch. Vlad was drugged in the first fight..................read the Judd letter.................

Don King would not allow a rematch, but when Don King was out of the way, the rematch happened. It was no contest. After the first fight doctors were concerned about Vlad going into a diabetic coma, MRI showed zero signs of a concussion. Vlad just wanted to know what was wrong with him from the very first round. Two sets of blood samples and urine samples were destroyed, missing watch bottle, video, missing ID, etc.
