Damn and he still got 32 million? Floyd has to be the smartest promoter in boxing ever. No wonder he left Arum.

LOL someone does not know business, at all. No, no one is going to "lose their job" over discussing past sales accounts with friends.

If i were to break this down to you, I genuinely wouldnt know where to begin.

It may be doomsday to you and your kind. To everyone else, its just another bad fight, both professionally and now commercially.

It doesn't have to be from Showtime. The original estimates were leaked by Directv and Dish. Then Schaefer said it underperformed here, but did better elsewhere. So these guys probably checked elsewhere, same story. These cable and satellite guys are probably not happy with the numbers either, they take a direct cut

If true, very disappointing considering they ran an hour long documentary on him on CBS in primetime. Wow.

Absolutely. I always thought this was a desparate move by Showtime. Hbo stood pat and stuck by their guns. Good for them.

Show knew they couldn't go head to head with HBO across the board and hitched their wagon to Jermain Taylor and decided to focus on certain divisions. Froch nearly derailed but Kallie Saurland's SS tourney idea kinda rescued them. Bute faltered and Ward has moved on to HBO I think? If he fought more I might know the answer to that.

It seems they decided to throw in with GBP and Mayweather as their next attempt. If, and I'm not buying numbers yet, May underperformed it could seriously hurt their chance to be a legit contender to HBO in the boxing category. This won't be good for boxing, but I could be Espinoza still has 'an interest/stake/future' with GBP when/if his Showtime gig goes south and is there to drain as much money as he can.
