LaLande was shutting Ray out up to the 4th - 5th round...I wasn't watching boxing at that time and dont know where LaLande was ranked, but i thought it was a decent enough fight when i eventually saw it......And its criminal to exculde Tyson. , he is the biggest figure in boxing history bar nobody expect Ali....Loius and Dempesy were huge, but Mike's status was global.

My improvements to that list included making room for Mike. I like the way Mike took care of business w Spinks. Loved every second of it

as for Lalonde, he was hand picked just for Ray but fighting him meant dropping down to accomodate Ray. This weakened Donny as Ray & Angelo expected

Ray try to do the same thing w Hagler in 81 and cuz Hagler wouldnt meet his conditions, Ray called the fight off, said it would "never happen"

I must agree with you leonard and his team always negotiated very well and hard to give him every edge possible .if he couldn't get the terms he felt most important I always got the impression he would of rather of called off the fight and looked at other options.

Type of person that if everybody met in the park for a game of football and his team were getting beat . He would take his ball and go home half way through the game

When you've got a top class amateur background and have travelled round the World as a pro' smashing up top quality contenders of varying styles you spastic.

There are many fighters who have won titles against top class opposition in their first ten fights, but then again I wouldn't expect you to know that.

Do you not feel that Guillermo Rigondeaux is world class? The guy has only had 11 fights prior to his demolition of a Top P4P fighter in Donaire. Was he not 'world class'?

He didn't, although Duran obviously ripped his prime from him, he hit Benitez hard enough that he broke his ankle.
