For $32M, Showtime cut put together 10 or 15 fights like Matthyse/Peterson

how bout you stick to watching your too slick too boring fighters beat up on overmatched opponents and let people decide what they want to spend their money on. people dont need an education to know what they like.
im tired of clowns acting like casual fans find all master boxers boring. casual fans find boring fighters boring.

Look boy, if you don't know then you just don't know. I won't entertain that bull**** you just typed cause I got a feeling that you are a real dummy and will argue with a stop sign forever. I have neither the time nor the inclination.

yep. mayweather is bad for boxing. The netwokrs lose money then they lose faith in boxing, not too mention people paying to watch and not enjoying the fight are less likely to buy in future

David haye almost single handedly ruined boxing in england. he convinced the networks to pay him ridiculous amounts, then didn't deliver. Sky Sports nearly lost faith in boxing completely.

    The same coudl happen here

I see what you are saying.

But i think boxing needs its superstars. Otherwise our sport would be completely irrelevant on the world stage.

I have to believe that Showtime gave Mayweather his contract not just for boxing but for promotional work that he will do within there programming. Probably see Mayweather do some tv series appearances and what not.

I doubt they gave him all that money only banking on ppv sales without bigger picture plan. He is 36 after all.

Showtime shoots themselves in the foot and the boxing fans will pay the price.Another fiasco like the Guerrero PPV will mean Showtime will have to cut it's boxing budget and that means less fights.
As usual,we will be the real losers while Mayweather laughs all the way to the bank.I hope the ****er retires.

the only thing that irks me about Floyd is his self-proclamation about being the best ever. if he can find fools to pay for garbage like gueerrero, alexander and angulo more power to him.

there are two great whos for free tonight on mma and boxing.

floyd mayweather is so irrelevant to real fight fans looking for challenging, meaningful fights.

    matthysse/Peterson and vito/rockhold for free.

who the **** needs floyd mayweather?

Floyd gets paid that much because he brings that type of revenue. If you put today's fight and a 3 other fights just as good on, they wouldn't bring you 50+ million dollars of revenue for free or on ppv

Apparently you and other ESB posters don't watch Floyd. His drawing power is beyond huge if he consistenly attracts non-boxing fans to the sport.

like I mentioned in my previous post im a real fight fan.

not some dumb casual fight fan who goes to watch Floyd like some people stop to see the aftermath of a car accident.

Floyd not fighting canelo, the crude and limited canelo, at 154 just validates the fact that he pussed out on paq.

Floyd mayweathers name should never be put alongside the greats of leonard, duran and hearns.

    floyds a ****ing joke.
