Lo Greco reaches in with a jab and gets countered by a 1-2. HARD right crosses by Porter, shaking Lo Greco in his boots. Lo Greco slaps in a wide hook and gets countered down the middle with more high-velocity straights. Porter encircles Lo Greco's waist in his arms when Lo Greco marches into him, looking to maul and shake him. Porter is instead hastening the clinch, making it more obvious for the ref so he can order a break prior to Lo Greco roughing him up. Porter knocks him down just before the bell with a pull-counter right on the ear as Lo Greco is lunging in with a jab thinking Porter is trapped on the ropes.

This performance doesn't change my opinion that he doesn't have the right stuff to be elite. Lo Greco is a caveman; styling on him doesn't say much.

His skills are decent and his speed is well above-average, but he employs too much of that flash-over-substance style, high volume at the expense of power and consistent accuracy. He is also a midget for 154lbs.

 

Round 9

Lo Greco is standing stock still as Porter changes the level of his jab, firing it high medium and low and landing them all with Lo Greco reacting a few moments behind everything Porter is doing, guard wavering uncertainly and ineffectually. Porter is taking it to Lo Greco, picking spots as he circles in close with quick straight combos and singles. A few jabs pawed by Lo Greco, but no real noteworthy offense.
