Purdy tried his best but lost every round against someone who was only using one arm. If Purdy was at least troubling DA I could understand the uproar but he was just shouting abuse and trying to survive. Darren despite being in VERY unfamiliar surroundings he made a fair, honest and reasonable decision. Purdy was warned to show more and also move his head but Lee ignored him, walked in with his hands up and did not throw anything of real venom. Save your mate for another day. Tough position for him to be in but he made a good call. Lebedev could have used someone in his corner who realises the value of someones health. Getting tagged constantly in the head (mostly by uppercuts) serves Lee no good. Good effort Lee, great heart and well done Darren.

Saved him from a one handed fighter who was losing the pop in his punches? All he had left was a jab and the uppercut. Of Purdy found another gear in the remaining rounds could have made it interesting at least. Bad call. Alexander was no longer dangerous. Nothing more than what he was in the first 6 rounds.

:good Darren did the right thing. Lee needs to just STFU. If he wanted to show he could do something to Alexander, he should've done so in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th or 7th.
Couldn't get in the us because of visa problems or something like that.. As for the stoppage.. i do agree, if he was throwing punches back then maybe he'd have an argument but he wasn't doing anything. He'd already probably lost on points and he didn't even look like he had a punchers chance, his punches were too slow and sluggish.. no need to keep going and taking unnecessary punches. A fighter will always want to fight on though out of pride and finish the fight, just wasn't his night though.
