    Would make for a good fight. Though I feel Mayweather wins, I doubt he'd be choosing a punishing fight with Mathysse as a next opponent.
    I'm cool with Mayweather staying active with Khan and then going for the tough challenges in Canelo, Manny or maybe even Mathysse.

    Of course. Bringing guys up from lower weight divisions is a Mayweather classic.

    I don't think Mathysse can corner him and his stature is a huge disadvantage. He doesn't have a strong jab, and while he does have some good defensive skills, they aren't enough to escape Mayweather's accuracy.

    If he can become king of 140 and prove himself at 147, then it's a more interesting fight for sure. Out of all the few potential names out there for Floyd, this is one that stands out a bit more now.

    this is so confusing, I keep hearing the 2 extremes. Floyd is going to cherry pick this light welterweight or he's never going to fight this dangerous threat :conf

    Well, I can't speak for anyone else, but no one knows how the **** Matthysse would even perform at welterweight since he's never fought there. So for me, it's a dumb fight unless Matthysse proves himself in that division first.

    I agree with you for the most part, but if Matthysse beats Garcia next and if Floyd's best options are Alexander and Khan, then I'd gladly accept this fight. Canelo needs to happen next though
