Boxing is not as big as it use to be. The heavy weight scene is a joke. Big fat guys fighting for belts. No one gives a **** about it. I could go in the gym for a few weeks and knock out most heavy weights around. Its all about the USA thats were the money is. They dont give a **** about boxing no more so its finished. I think the last rocky film was enough game over!

By the way I still love the sport but its going away. The US used to fund the sport now they are not intrested and the UK is on its arse. People like Eddie and F**** are going to lose money. Kugan will be begging on the streets soon when the bailiffs take Eddies Bentley away.

The only thing the yanks are intrested in is Floyed because he knocked out the big show with a knuckle duster! (WWE FFS)

    One thing I hate

***s like Nathan Cleverly claiming to be world champion. How the **** is he the champion of the world when hes not fought Ward or Dawson or even Hopkins its a ****ing joke champion of the world my arse ****ing paper belt!

EDDIE AND GOLDEN IF YOUR READING THIS THREAD STOP THE ****ING PAPER BELTS! ITS PISSING PEOPLE OFF! KHAN AND CLEVERLY CHAMPIONS OF THE WORLD! WHAT THE ****? IN OTHER SPORTS LIKE TENNIS YOU DONT HAVE MURRAY SAYING I'M NOT PLAYING NADEL HES TO GOOD! ****ING DUCKING AND DIVING IS RUINING A GOOD SPORT! PAPER BELTS A JOKE! JUST MERG INTO ONE FFS!

Floyed and Manny helped killing the sport of a bit. That would of stoked a fire and revived the sport a bit. They should hang there heads in shame.

Just a bit hung over and took me anger out on the keyboard. But I do have a point. Boxing has gone down hill since the tyson days. As I say its all about the yanks and they are turning to other sports. Tony thompson is the number 1 ranked heavyweight in the USA (box rec) and no one over there nos who the **** he is!

People will always say that "boxing has gone downhill since....". Whether it's Sullivan, Dempsey, Louis, Marciano, Ali or Tyson, people will always reminisce about the past.

Boxing is fine though. Globally, it's a massive sport and the finances in America tell you there's little reason to worry.

What worries me more is the petty schoolyard squabbling between promoters, best fights not happening because of the Top Rank HBO/Golden Boy Showtime squabble and we now seem to be having a mirror image start to appear over here with Matchroom and ******.

I know a way to save boxing! Stop all these paper belts! Make the world champion, world champion FFS. Glass chin Khan ex world champion its a joke. How can 4 people be world champions! How can a British champion be champion when we got a world champion but hes not British champion. No wonder the sports going down hill with these paper belts!

  14. Boxings fine

There is a boxing only channel in our country which isn't a powerhouse

You have more boxers and shows than any other time in the modern era

And this year a trend has started for champions fighting each other which will improve things further Alvarez trout, rigondeux donaire, mares Moreno etc

Floyd mayweather and manny pacquiao are the 2 highest paid sportsmen
In the world, that's not possible in a sport that's declining

Look at the boxing at the Olympics,a massive success

There are many positives and yes of course negatives I just think sometimes its more newsworthy to concentrate on the bad
