Did I just hear khan right in his interview ringside?

Khan got balls, I respect that and have no doubt he would get in the ring with Matthysse. Obviously there's only one outcome, and for Khan sake I hope it doesn't happen, but fair play to him that he would want it

Well Khan you been dropped by people who rarely knock people down... Gomez, Limond in which should actually be a defeat and you were getting rocked badly against Diaz... a fight you should have easily won.

Lucas would murder Khan, yes Khan could outbox him but has he got the chin... No... Lucas would execute him.

Khan should move up to 147 because if he gets in the ring with either Lucas or Garcia I see him losing and it will F his plans for a big payday against Mayweather.

 

i think he would out box him for a few rounds but sooner or later matysese will get to him

Whilst Khan says daft things at times & I'd fully expect him to get stopped I don't see how anyone can criticise a fighter for wanting to fight the best guys.

 

Khan seemed generally excited, heck maybe he would get more money from fighting Lucas than Devon. I know there would be a million times more interest. no one likes watching Devon fight. Boring ****.

 

Exactly this. That's for people who've actually paid any sort of attention to his career.

Props to Khan for his attitude towards taking this fight. He's willing to face anyone abd he's already shown that he can overcome the odds against Maidana. But Matthysse is a different matter. He sets up his work better than Maidana, has a naturally harder punch and has much better footwork. As Jack said, if there's anything like a certainty in Boxing, then it would be for Matthysse by KO.

Fair play to Khan if he took the fight but I'd strongly advise him to not. Look for Alexander at 147, that's a much better fight for him

 

Im not a fan of Khan, but I take my hat off to him as he came across legit that he would fight Matthysse. Im not sure it is balls or that he's just got some sort of learning difficulty.

Apart from punch power, Matthyse looks wreckless and pretty sloppy. He was falling over himself rushing to throw hook after hook. Seriously don't get this huge hype about him, massive power but looks poor otherwise.

A smarter Peterson would have beat him there, but as soon as MAtthyse hit him on the back of the head, Lamont lost his cool and threw his gameplan out the window and went toe to toe.

Khan would have no chance though, doesn't have the power or patience to keep him off for 12 rounds. Could see him ahead on points before getting stopped though.

Garcia gets hit too easily too.

 

Garcia who i love. Was all smiles before the fight. After that ko.. Hes heart was beating.

 

Clueless post, Lucas has underrated skills. pretty fast, good timing and great punch selection/variety. this isn't a 1 dimensional slugger it just so happens that he has insane power in BOTH hands.

 

Weren't alot of people saying that Maidana would destroy Khan if they fought? All he'd need to do is land one decent shot and it'd be good night Amir Khan?

Seems as though this thread is a reprise of all that talk with Maidana being replaced by Matthysse.
