I'm a big fan of his and very grateful that he finally razed that ****ing PED disgrace Peterson from the map. Matthysse's left hooks are simply ridiculous and I'd love to see him move up to 147 as I see his power carry over easily. That said, I don't think he stands a chance against Mayweather but then, who does at that weight? This guy is the truth.
I'd like to see him fight Garcia next. I thought before last night that Lucas would beat him and Peterson and his performance only emboldened my opinion. He lets his punches go very naturally and, for someone with huge power and a lot of stoppages, he's quite unusual in that he doesn't seem to be in love with that power. He just lets the ko's come to him. I'd prefer to see him clean out 140 than move up to fight Floyd.
Yeah have to agree he doesn't seem to be your typical slugger KO artist seems to have some decent boxing skills and a good chin to match. I'm a big fan of Garcia however I think LM takes him out most certainly.
boxing is an interesting sport, sweet science and ****, but sometimes fighters who doesnt look flashy and super skilled are much more effective(for example garcia, matthysse). The reason: they are not afraid of trading punches, they sits on their punches and have chins.
