They may fatten his wallet, by way of a Mayweather beating. But he's a fine fighter, and they are going to build him into something he's not, then tear him apart when he loses.
I agree. They're gonna' hurry him into a Mayweather fight if he gets by Garcia. He's a regular sized LWW and ideally I'd like him to remain there clearing it up and become a LWW legend, and then move to 147 when his body grows into it. But he's gonna' take himself there straight away to chase the Mayweather fight, and get outclassed pretty badly.
Exactly. I'd like to see him do the same, a fight with Broner would be a nice barometer if he choses to come back to 140. Not so much a comparison to PBF because in my opinion Broner and Floyd are not that similar. More so in terms of class.
Yup he should take his time, he can beat 99% of fighters but not Floyd, while Lucas is very very good fighter with great power he does have limitations, he should have at least 5 more fights before even thinking of fighting Floyd.
I'm hoping he sticks to his guns and continues his career at 140lbs. Resist the money in facing Mayweather at the higher weight (assuming that's what the talk is). Hopefully it's Garcia for him next, that will be an intriguing bout.
There's no excuse for Lucas/Garcia not to be made...same time frame, same promotor, massive hype, it would be a ****ing travesty if this fight doesnt happen
Neither have avoided a challenge so far, so can see it happening considering Matthysse is the mandatory.
You do realize Matthysse does things a lot better then Guerrero so don't expect Floyd to have the same easy night with Lucas
Chin Power Ring cut off Jab Body shots Combos Workrate Is close Overall boxing skills are better Head movement
Guerrero may actually beat Matthysse. See what I mean? Before last night would have been so sure of Matthysse's chances? Mayweather has a very easy night with Lucas in front of him. He's already fought him (Gatti, Hatton, Castillo etc) come forward bangers. Granted Lucas is a bit more, but not much. His power is devastating, but so was Naseem Hamed's until he ran into a pure boxer in Barrera.
