You do realise that skills are both offensive and defensive, don't you? It seems that more and more people hear the words 'highly skilled' and assume the boxer has a good defense.

Also as you keep using this comparison. Guerrero jumped up 2 weight classes for that bout. It is harder for your skills to influence the bout when up against bigger opposition. This is why we have weight classes. Again, big fan of Matthysse, but his skills have never really been tested up against bigger opposition. If he moves up to 147lbs at some point, then we will see if they do transition and he can employs his skills to land his power on naturally bigger opposition.
