Did Peterson's legs seem weak to anyone else?

Taking no credit away from Lucas. He was sharp and on point. But neither the first KD or the big KD in the second round seemed like bomb shots. Judah and Alexander were hit with worse and simply shook it off (although they were also hit with bombs and dropped).

Anyone else think Peterson had some light legs? The first KD is literally confusing for me.

His legs got weak when he got smacked by Matthysse. It isn't rocket science.

Matthyse didn't land much of a significant blow leading up to the first KD. Was just a strange first KD.

The second KD seemed like it was just an arm punch from Matthyse

Lucas landed a grazing left hook to the temple.

He isn't the same fighter. I think it's clear that he was only good because of the PEDs and now he is mediocre. I think people are overrating this win.

    Yeah I'm sure Lamont over-trained.

Well, that or his legs went to rubber after Matthysse commenced destroying him.

Peterson is always shaky in the first few round of a fight, it really wasnt all that suprising Matthysse managed to do that.

Um, because Matthysse hit him with a hard body shot?

Before the first knockdown, about 20-30 seconds before, Matthysse landed a hard right hand that seemed to rock Peterson, kind of a delayed build up to the knockdown.

The second knockdown wasn't just an arm punch, Matthysse got pretty good force on it due to the angle in which they got tangled up, actually stepped in to and ended up in a southpaw stance as the left hook landed.

I noticed the straight right which seemed to back Lamont up before the first KD. That makes the most sense. If the punch didn't contribute to the first KD then I'm at a complete loss.

    Good performance by Lucas though

Same. He took much more powerful blows from Ortiz and bounced up ready to fight... several times.

LM hit him with a few shots prior to the first knockdown. I think I remember him landing a decent left hook towards the end of the first round. Then, in addition to some shots on the inside and a bit of body work, he landed a really good right hand mid way through the second. That appeared to have shook LP to his boots and put the writing on the wall.

It's also worth mentioning that, due to him being so heavy handed, LM appears to be one of those guys that doesn't need to throw with perfect technique and land flush in the perfect spot to hurt people. What may look like arm punches and grazing shots, are still very damaging.
