:yep Yep, you got my Kirk Bucks. Who are you picking for Kessler-Froch? :hey David, next update give Robney 30 Kirk Bucks.
I tell you what though, that 140 division is weird. Peterson doesn't last three rounds versus Matthysse, but Judah and Alexander last the distance? Now, granted, Matthysse didn't do jack smith for the first 5-6 rounds. It wasn't until Judah landed that perfect left uppercut directly on his chin where he got his confidence in knowing he could starting walking down Judah. In a rematch Matthysse would murder him. That much has been obvious even before the Peterson destruction. But, Alexander? Matthysse hammered Alexander with a lot of bombs and Alexander really never got shook up in the fight. Granted he went down, but he was laughing like he just heard a joke from Eddie Murphy. Then we move on down and Ajose, Soto, and Corley all lasted longer. Now, Ajose Olusegun and Chop Chop are tough men. If Matthysse were to beat Peterson I could have realistically seen him just break him down on an accumulation of punches, like what happened to Ajose and Chop Chop in the late rounds. Now, we get to the Soto fight. Soto lasted five rounds versus Matthysse and he doesn't have anywhere near the heart or chin of Peterson, yet he lasted two rounds longer. Could it be that Peterson's PED pallets were that much of a benefit to him? What's odd is that he has looked like the same fighter. He's always had that dog in him. People that say he was way more aggressive versus Khan, no he wasn't, he was the same fighter. Hell, before that fight I called that saying Peterson will bring it versus Khan and make life uncomfortable for him. Against Cayo he went after it, against Ortiz, against Bradley, and you can go all the way to when he fought John Brown. He's always had that extra gear. In his last fight, he fought a dangerous puncher in Kendall Holt, but he was fine. He took some shots somewhat clean off the gloves....really not much different to the Matthysse fight, but Peterson was fine. I don't think he was on any PEDs in that fight. May'be that was an aberration? Fighting in front of his home fans was enough to give him an an edge. Did those PED Pallets give him that much of an edge? May'be so. What about Matthysse? Let's look at him for a second. There's really not much evidence of him jacking up on drugs. The cameras did catch him popping a pill versus Dallas Jr. and he did rehydrate up 23 pounds....but he just jacked up Peterson in three rounds and only rehydrated up about 10 pounds. Over the course of his career he's still the same KO artist he's always been. A very heavy hitter dropping everybody, I wouldn't think he's on any PEDs. Now, let's look at the other fighters. How was it that Marcos Maidana and Lamont Peterson (Who may have been on some juice pallets) couldn't knock out Amir Khan? They hit him time after time after time after time. May'be Khan's ability to see the punches coming he could, for that split second, anticipate them and take it better? Was he on that "A-Side Meff? May'be. Let's take a look at his KO losses- Bredis Prescott and Danny Garcia. Both hit him with counter left hooks. Well, that somewhat explains why Maidana and Peterson couldn't knock him out. He anticipated those shots coming while he didn't anticipate Prescott and Garcia's punches. You can even throw in his latest fight versus Julio Diaz. A blown up lightweight nearly knocked him out with a couple of counter left hooks. Then we have Danny Garcia. Danny Garcia hasn't been stopped. He seems to have a pretty sturdy beard. That was tested versus Judah and he was taking that left hand of his pretty well, but his power, let's look at his power. Danny Garcia's technique is horrendous to look at, but he keeps winning. A lot like that Tim Tebow guy in football. He has horrible technique, but all he did was find ways to win. Anyway, he fought Kendall Holt, he couldn't knock him out even though he landed quite a few cleans shots. If I recall, he never really hurt him much in that fight either. It's been awhile since I watched that fight, but I don't really recall Holt doing a stanky leg or anything like that. He couldn't stop Holt, but a presumably clean Peterson did. Then we have Garcia knocking out Khan, while a presumably dirty Peterson couldn't. I guess styles make fights, aye? I don't know, weird stuff. Nothing really surprises me in boxing, but seeing Peterson wrecked like that sort done my head in a bit. All these fighters, and just different than expected results, I guess. Weird stuff, didn't think it'd be this long, sorry for any inconvenience.
I had to post around someones big post blocking the way () but I'm going for Froch by UD. I think Kessler lost a step since they last fought and and Froch is still Froch. So I expect a close fight with Froch edging him 7 to 5, wich translates to 8 to 4 or maybe even 9 to 3 in the UK.
This place is so ****ed on so many levels that i just can´t Matthysse beats legit competition and all i see is mostly threads about fighters that would beat him and his "overrated" power. Meanwhile Gennady Golovkin beats up C class middleweights and Jr.Middleweights but somehow is regarded as the best MW in the world :rofl
