hype is always at its highest right after a fight.

But it was a Huge win!

He definetly showed me he belongs in the same ring as Bradley, JMM, Pac and Floyd.

Not saying he wins any of them, but he just destroyed Peterson easier than i'd imagine any of the fighters you listed could.

 

He is the best at 140 but i agree people are going overboard with threads vs Duran vs Chavez SR. just to much:-(

 

I think people are just excited and stunned regarding his power and try and visualize him with all the top guys, and if he catches them, he likely finishes them. Some good boxers out there though, so it's not a given that he KOs them all.

But you have to admit, he's a big big puncher and guys will try their best not to engage and try and box, but one mistake and you know what he can do to you.

 

Really bro.. I couldn't stand his legitimate nuthuggers either. I give him his props for Peterson.

A lot of these posts and threads are by felixtrinidad and onepunchko, box4life though. Only a handful of people actually believe any of this.

 

Pac? Yes, Lucas can win mainly because Pac's chin has been softened by JMM. It'd be one hell of a brawl though. Too bad Pac is with TR.

JMM? Maybe. He's getting up there in age and got hit more than he should last time he fought.

Floyd? No.

Prime Duran? Hell no.

Lucas appears to be improving and his confidence is sky high. He's definitely knocking on the door of greatness.

 

Yeah, he's an ENORMOUS Puncher. Can't deny him that.

 

It's always the same on here - a good win means you could beat most of the ATG's around your weight class. A loss and you've been exposed and were never any good to begin with. A ko loss and you're a glass-jawed disgrace.

Although i'd call the Marquez one a 50/50 at this stage in JMM's career.

 

mental aint it?? a good win by a power puncher over a guy who has been off his feet more than once against none punchers ann whos best performance will always be tainted. Truth is Peterson never reached the heights of the Khan fight at any point in his career and probably wont again. Holt was faded and way past it. Lucas was all wrong for his style. I really dont see how some people thought Lamont had a chance. To beat Lucas u had to move make him miss counter him and try and get his respect. Meeting him head on with a shakey chin and throwing when he does without real speed is asking for trouble
