Matthyse beat a guy who barely beat khan and drew against victoria but 90% of esb think hes a god...WTF. Matthyse would get outboxe by any good boxer. Pac floyd bradley broner alexander would beat that guy.

I agree the hype is getting a little crazy..but no doubt he just became somebody i want to see in there with the top dogs at 140/147. Not saying he beats them all, but they're all interesting fights and he belongs there.

No big deal. there's always a new flavor of the month. The guy is impressive though. He's peaking now, so the comparisons to the top guys is always going to come along with that.

He'd probably knock Bradley out late on, possibly Pacquiao too. The rest, wouldn't go well for him.

Yea i'll admit he beginning to get way more praise than he deserves . But knockout artists tend to get overhyped , This is not unusual .

"Matthyse would get outboxed by any good boxer"

And thats EXACTLY what everyone was sayin/expecting to happen when they found out Matthyse signed to fight Peterson .

Just my opinion man. JMM is a great fighter but hasn't done enough to be considered a 'p4p legend'. Katsidis nearly stopped him, u honestly think he wouldnt struggle with Matthysse?

Matthysse stops Marquez, would be a good fight but Marquez would get hit too much, just because he keeps beating Pac doesnt mean Marquez is some kind of beast, Bradley should beat him

Judah didn't school ****. He got an early lead due to Matthysse starting slow, and barely survived to see the final bell. He got a split decision win, that's hardly a schooling.

This was the first time under the bright lights in a "big fight" for Matthysse. He had nerves as to be expected. The same slow start is what cost him the fight with Alexander. Even in that fight, he was working towards stopping Devon, but the fight was just a 10 rounder. 2 more rounds and he would have been put to sleep. Again, another split decision win against him.

Lucas Matthysse is getting much deserved hype. He is willing to fight anybody and won't make any excuses to not fight someone. He's a throwback fighter with an old school mentality. We need more fighters like him in the sport.

I haven't seen these threads... Obviously these are jokes

But Pac/Floyd/Bradley are solid fights... Obviously he's the underdog, and especially against Floyd... But he does have one punch KO power, and unlike others with it, he knows how to deliver the shots

No worse than the hype of Danny Garcia.

No i think he was accurate , Judah won more than 2 rnds and not to mention a knockdown over Floyd .
