It's like he thinks he's be young forever. He's been a massive disappointment. And frankly i don't think even he cares. Whatever he's got an whatever he's done, I think he's satisfied and isn't overly arsed what else happens at this point. He's never going to hit the heights really is he. For whatever reason, it's just not going to happen for him. Massive waste of potential. Because he does/did have potential to be a superstar inside and outside boxing.
Two great comments by Almns and Oli.Great truths.Although I like Steve Bunce, one of the comments he regularly makes is "he's only a baby at 25/26" or whatever.Afraid this is very often not the case in world class boxing.
I'm a Brook fan which is why I feel sorry for him, I also like Hearn but he needs to take a risk and put Brook in with someone he could lose to, everyone at the top of the welterweight division are fighting each other apart from Brook he's fighting bums like Hatton,Jones & Saldivia.... there's even talks now that he'll fight Purdy in Sept!! Come on give me a break they are gonna ruin this guys career. Decent fights for him in Sept are Mosely, Berto, Ortiz, Guerrerro, Maidana, Provodnikov, Thurman, Senchencko..... but no they will put him in with a complete bum!! What a shame.
what a shame... he's already ducked t world champs... and is continuing to fight bums... his career is going downhill and he's undefeated... not impressed by the way Hearn has handled this Even someone like Cano, Mike Jones, even Bailey wouldn't be a bad choice but he's going to remacth Carson Jones and possibly go after Julio Diaz lol... looks like his end goal in his career is Khan.
Complete agreement. There should be uproar if Purdy is in September, the lads just had one battering out of his class. What would Eddies fans make of that one, when he manages both?Sorry, not quite complete agreement, inasmuch as Hatton etc not bums, but he should be upping the ante a bit now.If he doesn't fight in July,no chance of fighting any of your suggestions this year IMO.
Initially i thought is was down to frank he wasn't going anywhere and thought going to Eddie might change all that. But it hasn't. So now you wonder is Brook the problem. Since beating Matt Hatton he's effectively stood still.
This is what I said he shoulda took the Bradley fight, firstly I think he had more chance against Bradley because Bradley is open to be hit the Provodnikov fight proved that, but Alexander Brook had a slight chance of winning somehow but now he will have to work his way up the hard way There's guys like Maidana/Lopez/Berto/Ortiz/Guerrero/Karass, these guys are just gonna keep fighting eachother Brook has to get through some of them to get to the top, think he'd have a chance against Guerrero but he wont get that fight
Not to mention Bradley was looking to trade and make a statement after his "win" over Pacman, so this would have made him more vulnerable and it could have been an easier job for Brook....
As others have said he should of taking the bradley fight he'd have as mu h chance of beating bradley as he'd have beating Alexander so sticking with the mandatory route was pointless imo. The only reason i can think they choose that was money, they obviously didn't want the short change with Bradley instead choosing the 60/40 split tgat comes with the mandatory which was a stupid move. I thinkk both Alexander and Bradley would beat him but at least loosing to Bradley in a competitive fight would of rose stock and he'd be in a better position than he is now
Exactly, Bradley looked terrible that day wouldnt be suprised if Brook actually put him away, the one fight Brook was probably hoping for (Khan) is definitely not gonna happen now with Khan being linked with Mayweather, he is gonna have to go through some tough fights at 147 to get a title shot Id say he should start with the loser of Lopez/Maidana
You don't get any recognition worldwide if you beat Kell Brook at the moment, I've asked RG, Maidana, Lopez,Berto, Ortiz and Thurman on twitter about Kell Brook and all of them said they didn't know anything about him.
