Maythsee-Broner will happen Sept 7!!! I truly believe this will happen if Mayweather fights Garcia, its the only other fight that would be great and would sell and make sense. I think Mathysse-Garcia gets made but just in case who can Maythsse fight?? I think only Broner. cant see who else he can fight. who you guys think if no Garcia Sept 7??
Matthysse vs. Broner would be a MUCH better and more competitive match-up than Mayweather vs. Garcia - the latter being boxer vs. puncher where the boxer is several levels above, whereas the former involves a vastly superior puncher to Garcia in Matthysse and vastly inferior boxer to Mayweather in Broner. Don't take away from that statement that Broner isn't a very good boxer or Garcia a very good puncher...it's just that relative to Mayweather and Matthysse in those categories, they pale.
I think Matthysse and Broner's management know they have 2 potential money stars on their hands, so they likely won't be matched up together this soon. I would LOVE it, but would be surprised to actually see it happen
deal Simply put, Mayweather/Garcia is 100% predictable. Broner/Matty is an "anything can happen." I think Mayweather will fight Garcia; a smaller guy with a Hispanic last name and basically no shot. That's the Money formula.
Nope. My Money is on Garcia vs Matthyse Broner vs Mosley Alexander vs Khan Alvarez vs Cotto Floyd doesnt fight till next May.
Not a bad plan B,C,etc.. Though I'm not holding my breath, Floyd-Canelo, Garcia-Matthysse, and Broner-Khan would be my ideal Fall/Winter boxing schedule.
TS, Im a huge Broner fan but there is no way in hell that would pick Lucas to be Broner's 1st major fight. Its far too risky with very lil reward. He'll basically be about the last guy that Broner would fight next
