As i recall there might of been a bit of bad blood between them in the build-up
perhaps steming from the first fight (?) Pruitt was not as respectful perhaps he should have been, Jose was usually content to feel his way into bouts, but he seemed a tad more aggressive than usual here,

I noticed that too, but it all stems back to an article I recalll reading about him after the Roger Menetrey fight. It said that Napoles seems to fight only as hard as he needs to in order to win. Menetrey fought a very negative fight that night and Napoles appeared content to just stay in the one gear and beat on him for 15 rather than just end it. What's noticeable against Pruitt is how Adolph went after him, which seemed to kick Napoles in that next gear. It's an intersting bout, one I've never seen before of Mantequilla. His pin-point accuracy is uncanny in finding slight openings. Pruitt was a damn good fighter but Napoles was at another level.

I have honestly never watched Napoles but his economy of movement in that clip is something else, he footwork is such that he pretty much always seems to be in position to land. It appears to me some fighters move because it looks good, some because they don't want to engage. Napoles seems to do it because it feels natural, very relaxed.
